Wondering about Smitty doing returns....

I haven't seen anything on it if he is going to keep doing punt returns or if that was more of an emotional lift for the team and just for last week. If anybody has heard anything post it up please, thanks

From what I can remember, the team asked him to and he was up for it.

Was probably for both performance and inspirational reasons.

I think it's a good idea.

Smitty is more a lead by example kind of player having him out there gives a good example. The fans especially the casual ones LOVED it. After the preseason Jets game it shocked and amazed them seeing Smith out there.

Even though last week's passing game was excellent it's only one game and I'm still going to assume that we are struggling overall. Get Smitty the ball anyway you can. A reverse won't work with the way the O-line is playing.

It's also nice to have a rested Smitty catching punts instead of winded munnerlynn. Smith while rusty will be better anyway.

We're 1-5 so these are the desperate times in which desperate measures are the norm.

Hell, I wouldn't mind seeing him back there for the opening kick-off to het things started and get the team hyped up, with the way we've been blocking for goodson I'm sure smitty could break a big one

When u have a player who has made the pro-bowl as a return man, and your team is 1-5..... U gotta think outside the box
