Steve Smith should not be immune to criticism on here

I'm not trying to make this a Steve Smith isn't elite anymore or Steve Smith sucks thread, but he deserves every bit of criticism he gets from people on this board. He's dropped two huge pass plays, and now he fumbles? He's been more of a liability in this game than I can ever rember him being.

I agree he didn't have the first down to begin with, he tried to make something out of nothing and didn't protect the ball.

On a side note is Munnerlyn a better return man at this point than Smitty?

Always trying to make something big happen with what would be a successful play if he just went down. But, in his defense, it was 3rd down and short and the Panthers still run 3rd down plays that are short of the 1st down marker... something they've done repeatedly today.

I don't blame him for trying to make something happen when he fumbled... but the drops are inexcusable.

Face it, we simply have no offense.

Smitty has always had trouble getting open...which is why he had to make so many good grabs in traffic. Well he can't do that anymore, as the number of drops he has are increasing. Add fumbles to that, and he is average, at best.
