What are some successful/not-so-successful first dates you've been on?

I'm going on a "date" this Thursday with a girl I met a week or two ago. We met at a party and started talking because my friend is seeing one of her friends. My idea was to have a double date for the first date, since we don't really know each other. And since my friend is broke, it's gotta be cheap, or almost free. So my idea was we could hang out at my house, cook dinner for the girls and watch a movie.

Open to other (cheap) ideas, and I thought this thread would have some funny first date stories haha

Just took some girl out for the first time to the cheesecake factory last week, says she had a really good time, but now everything I do seems to piss her off and she refuses to talk to me anymore. ...bitches

take her to a nice restaurant. u live in asheville right? Go to biltmore park, there are some good restaurants there. If u want it to be casual take her to that new pizza joint there.

Double date because we really know nothing about each other, and having other people around would be more comfortable for both of us, having mutual friends there. The at home thing was so she could drink.

Maybe if the date at the restaurant goes good u can ask her if she wants to come to your place for some drinks....seeee it's pretty simple.
