Here's hoping Edwards gets a start at QB this year

So his inevitable 49 QB rating can hush the App State homers who think he's the savior and is better than Michael Vick. Funny how they say Clausen can't see over the line but somehow Armanti in his diminuitive stature could? Look I'm all for finding the solution on our current roster. But saying Clausen wouldn't cut it with the '08 Lions or Moore is the worst QB ever while touting Edwards' 7 career rushing yards is retarded.

Go Panthers.:cheers2:

Why would you ever hope for the failure of a player on your team?

I don't think anyone here wants him to be any less then Steve Smith or Desean Jackson reincarnated, but he isn't a QB in the NFL and our QB performance would get much worse with him under center. Did the kid even take snaps under center his entire career at App.....

Our QB performance would get worse? You really just said that? How is that possible?

They would have to change the play calling to suit his abilities since he hasn't been practicing under center in a run first offense, and I know the creativity involved is beyond our coaching staff. But with both our starting runners out, they have to do something.

Exactly what do you want them to do to adjust the playcalling and take advantage of our strengths and playmakers?? Run the fuging triple option....

    • Bain is a beast. I won't deny it. I mentioned it in another thread, but one of Mesidor's sacks was only because Bain shoved Mesidor's body at the quarterback like he was bowling with him. I have never seen anything like it. I hate that the Bucs drafted him. That being said, Bain has to be perfect in order to compete week to week. He plays a high contact position in a game where the most athletic and lengthy have the advantage. I think he will still be a force, but his impact can be minimalized with right blockers and schemes. Freeling has the opposite problem. He's a long limbed, athletic puppy. He has ALL of the advantages physically. He just needs to add strength to his body and improve his technique. In two seasons, Freeling could end up being regarded as one of the best LTs, if not THE best in the game. That's where his potential is. Both have the potential to boom, but Bain has the higher probability to bust. Just looking at it logically.
    • Again, KB did nothing wrong. The play was reversed after it was obvious that KB touched him when he was down. The video shows a ref 5 feet away who should have stopped the play. KB knew he already hit him while the CB was down. I watched that play and I saw he was down and knew we’d win the challenge. Just like when the ref told Cam he doesn’t get those calls yet, it did make me wonder if the ref swallowed the whistle since interception returns are a play where QBs can take a big hit. That was right around the “player safety” increase. Cam got hurt because the ref didn’t call the play dead even when it was ridiculously obvious the CB was touched down and the quick review and reversal showed that.
