why does everybody think JR won't pay Cowher? He gave Fox a 25m 5 year deal and that was the going rate then. well, guess what? the rate has gone up and if he wants Cowher he will pay to have Cowher. simple

Defense has played pretty well. Truth is that with our offensive problems, the 85 Bears defense wouldn't help us much.

I agree. Cowher is a proven talent and he needs to be payed as such if JR doesn't want to pay then he will look else where for a coach and hope he can find a diamond in the rough. Its just like when you apply for a job and the salary is equal with experience.

He's also hasn't coached since 2006... he hasn't proven he can still coach at his previous level yet.. so 5-6m is more than fair.
