since the line came together in it's current form they were the best run blocking line in 08,09.

Wern't too bad in pass protection either.

Back-ups that played like pro-bowlers like the Vikings and Giants 09 game or some of the games from 08 like the Chiefs.

Gross and Kalil were considered top 5 at their positions. Otah was rising fast top 10 according to some of the preseason mags(BS I know).

It's ironic that such a distinguished line started playing like crap but I don't think it's funny that fans thought they were the best in the league.

The O-line has been fine overall. QB's have been holding on to the ball too long at times. Clausen for the most part had plenty of time in the pocket today.

yeah, for the most part, except for about two thirds of the third and longs, where he was running for his life... with Ruud literally in his face on a number of plays before he could even set his feet...

You know I wanted to be critical of Clausen after this game but honestly after watching the OL a second time I really can't cast much hate his way. He didn't play perfect or even all that effectively for that matter ( he is no Aaron Rodgers... yet) but I can't hate on him for this performance for the most part.

The only thing pissing me off on his end is his long windup leading to an excessive number of batted passes (I think it was around two and that is too many).
