Dwayne Jarrett works out for Seattle

The Seattle Seahawks have dealt with various injury issues at the receiver position this season. And because of that, they worked out two free-agent receivers on Tuesday. Seattle has six receivers on their 53-man roster, but only three of them are healthy.

Dwayne Jarrett, a former second-round pick of the Carolina Panthers, and veteran Bobby Engram got a look from Seattle, a source confirmed.

This workout was the first for Jarrett since being waived by Carolina on Oct. 5.

I'm sure that's why they're working him out...well, to get some inside info at least. We've done it ourselves in the past.

I hope you're kidding - what're they going to learn from Jarrett, the guy that didn't know enough after 4 years to get on the field for one of the most inept NFL offenses in recent history?

I doubt they know as much as we do. Pete calls him, says he wants to give him a second chance and maybe he can shed some light on Carolina. DJ says, durrr hurrrr ooh wee mayne. And the rest is history.

    • Right and I think we can have a conversation about that. But even with the scheme he should still be able to muster more than 1.5 sacks right? I mean DJ Johnson played in Evero's scheme too but that didn't stop us from calling him a bust. Scourton didn't seem to have trouble flashing. There can be different things true at one time.
    • I assume you are quoting my still. If so, I don't know what your argument is since mine was simply showing a play where Bryce scored a TD against the Rams in the playoffs where another poster used a similar still of Herbert's line to defend his poor performance last night. Like I said, Herbert is a better QB but Bryce wins the game last night for the Chargers. It simply is something he does better than Herbert and would play to his strengths. Someone even said earlier Chargers only win 1 or 2 games this year if Bryce was their QB which is so absurdly laughable it wasn't even worth trying to address. I mean this thread is literally called "Bryce Young is the worst QB in Panther's History" so I understand there is no objective arguments to be had here but I found that amusing.
    • I think his knee would make a good reason to switch to guard IF he returns.  Half don't.  Half of those don't last too long.  The strain on a knee (320lb man) vs speed rushers is more substantial.  So I would keep him if I could on a small contract (he will make $17.5 in 2026 fully guaranteed) and think of him as a possible guard for the post Lewis/Hunt era.  Knee injuries in big men are not invitations to invest in them.
