A White Running Back?

You do understand that rooting for black QBs just because they're black actually makes you the racist, correct?

I dont root for black QBs just because they're black. You ever heard me say we need to go after Jamarcus?

I just think its funny, this resistance to black QBs has this franchise squarely at the bottom of the league, and no matter what, the peanut gallery wants to continue with the status quo. If we were winning, I could somewhat see the reluctance and the arrogance, but this stuff is really showing who's about winning at all costs and who's more about image.

Its our resistance to creating a strongly disciplined team with loads of talent & competent coaching that has us at the bottom of the league sir. Who's black again?

The Panthers make sure every QB on their roster is white. The Panthers owner would never draft a black QB, no matter what. The Panthers would pull some guy away from fries at McDonalds before they'd seriously look at a black QB. The image they have, is the image they've worked hard to build. Every african american in Mecklenburg County knows this.

The Panthers drafted Jerry Colquitt, who was black, in their first year of existence.

In the years since, they've had various others on roster including Dameyune Craig, Rod Rutherford, and another more recent guy whose name escapes me (I'll look it up).

And of course, there was Rodney Peete, who was the starter for all of 2002 and the presumed starter going into 2003 before he lost his starting job (quite legitimately). Even after losing the starting job though, Peete stuck around and played a valuable role on the team as a backup/mentor to Jake Delhomme.

And on today's active roster, Armanti Edwards is listed as the third quarterback.

Hint: This is why you have no credibility :nonod:

The same way KT wanting the Panthers to draft a black QB just because he's black is a racist thought as well... now try to get him to see it or even acknowledge the post.

Like I said, look at the resistance. Dudes see drafting a black QB as a negative. No matter how badly our QBs suck. Until the Panthers and the fanbase moves away from "image" and becomes about "winning" we're going to continue being irrelevant and lose.

 What a half-assed retort... didn't even acknowlegde what I said and try to spin it to something else. Face it, you are the racist... you said "change it up and draft a black qb" not the best qb available... that is racist.

Armanti Edwards hasnt thrown a pass, so how is he a QB? Most weeks he dont even dress. Jerry Colquitt never played QB here. Sorry, Scott, the Panthers have very little to no history of blacks at QB. Their only history is Rodney Peete, who they showed 0 loyalty too and replaced as soon as they could. I suspect if the Panthers did bring in a black QB, it'd be a scenario like that. Some old washed up black QB on his last leg, so it could be easily justified replacing him after a year or so for another younger more desirable white QB. Thats the only scenario I see the Panthers bringing a black QB in. But someone who's actually got talent, that is young, with upside for years to come, Jerry Richardson and the Carolina Panthers would never. Jerry Richardson will NEVER EVER EVER draft a black QB, and proclaim him the "future". Thats not how he runs his business.
