No Salary Cap

The cowboys already are the yankees of the nfl and look where it gets them. You can't just put a bunch of superstars together and automatically win. I think it;s gonna be hilarious to see Jerry Jones spend 200 mil a year and still not win a playoff game.

the cowboys have hired a bunch of superstars? like who? romo was undrafted, barber came through their system and so was witten. they signed TO, and if drops were a positive stat then i guess that makes TO the best at it. in all seriousness though the cowboys generally sign thugs with media names rather than quality players. pac man is a bust, he's never been a good player and i doubt he ever will be.

I didn't necessarily mean that they have bought everyone on the team but they have a bunch of superstars and can't get it too work. But they have signed some big names in the past couple of years and yes they are cancers which is really my point. They don't seem to care what quality people they are as long as they are good at football. And yes Pac man was a very good football player, probably the best at what he did at the time but not anymore, and you forgot about Roy Williams that they broke the bank for. Don't tell me you don't think Jerry Jones wouldn't go nuts if there was no salary cap.

Every extension of the CBA leaves an uncapped year at the end. It's their way of forcing the owners and the NFLPA to reach an extension agreement before the old one expires. The only way there will actually be an uncapped year is if the owners pushes for an amended rookie pay scale and the players refuse.

    • One thing about it, he's not thinking about retiring. I found it odd that some Huddlers were taking rumors and running with them, imagining a slow down and "up-playing" injuries. Moton feels great and is still in his prime according to him, and his game is still indicative of his thoughts.  Sure, it may ultimately come down to economics, but I am sure that everyone involved is motivated to keep him in Charlotte.
    • I think the knee stuff with Moton has been blown way out of proportion. The exact quote was “It’s chronic stuff. Most linemen deal with it. But it’s just figuring out what we can do to make sure it’s limited and I’m still able to explode off it, which right now I can and I feel like I can in the future,” After a while, you start learning more about it and what can we do to make sure it’s as little of an issue as possible. I feel like I’m moving like I was when I was younger.” I don't view that as a guy who's saying his knees are on their last leg I see that as a 10-year NFL olineman saying that obviously after 10 years of playing a really physical sport, he's never truly gonna be 100% healthy again and he's gonna need to spend more time with the training staff to ensure his body can continue to perform at a high level. I think Moton has another 3 to 5 years left if he wants to continue playing.
    • So much crying. Tiresome. All of you should have had enough time to come to terms with the team picking up his 5th year...
