This is why trading up for Armanti Edwards was stupid..(ps SCP went to Eastern Car.)

Thank the lord someone is speaking sense! He was going to be there in the 7th round if we wanted him, which any rational person would NOT want. Any fast, elusive player can be an elite QB at the HS and D1AA level.

So that makes ECU what? Must be a half step above this "HS D1AA" level that you speak of. How badly did you lose to Navy again?

He was a system quarterback. Congrats DeAndre, maybe Hurney will convert you to a kicker to replace Kasay.

Everybody is a great QB at App State.

Discuss.

Pointless thread and discussion as Edwards was drafted to be a WR, so it makes no difference if he was a system QB or not, as that is nothing to do with what he was doing now.

We picked him based on potential, make up your mind on the value based on that alone.

Tyrod Taylor and Cam Newton already commited to real schools. So App State got the left over scraps that fit best in their system.

That's why Cam Newton got caught cheating at Florida, had to transfer out, and went to Blinn, right?

owait.

He was a great athlete in the App State system just like this DeAndre kid.

Right now it doesn't look good, but it takes 3 years to fully evaluate a draft choice - so there's no point in debating this at the moment.

According to this "SouthCak" fellow, we inbred folk here in North Carolina are too dumb to ever be able to evaluate talent.

Oh God.

I just correctly used "too" in a sentence.

That can't be!

Inbreds can't do that!

I agree as usual. Let's wait to see what he does on the field before he is labeled as the worst draft pick ever, although with most likely the 33 or 34th pick he better live up to some pretty high expectations.

So? A system can't suddenly make someone athletic. All it can do is take the things they do well as a QB and put them in positions to use those and rarely ask them to do things they can't.

News flash. Wide receivers run. They need to be athletic.

Odds on that DeAndre will likely be converted to a WR as well unless he is taught to be a QB first.
