Next week is very big

Losing games makes your SOS go up. Winning games makes it go down, but puts you in a worse spot. The difference is measured in hundredths.

GBN may be updating their chart right now. It's unavailable.

I calculated the SoS between Cincy and Carolina not counting the post4pm games.. Cincy's SoS went a couple hundredths and ours went up a couple thousandths. It's still close though. A couple games difference which can be made up in a week or two.

I was thinking of doing that but I didn't copy the figures before GBN's page went down and I don't feel like doing it the long way

it would be awesome if they measured it in who scored less....

Even if Cincy gets the #1, what makes you think the pick a QB? They have a former 1st rounder in Palmer who had some really good years there. He is stinking it up lately, but I'm not so sure the Bengals are ready to cut ties with him.

Have you watched Palmer recently? Add in he's not as young as he used to be.

Cincinnati may be one of those places where Luck says "I won't play there" but someone else could offer them a pretty attractive trade deal.

Palmer is toast ever since his elbow injury and he chose not to go under the knife like Jake did.

We will win against AZ and Cincy will lose out. Cincy will take Luck with the first pick. It is just part of being a Panther fan...heartbreak!

Even if Cincy loses out.. division matchups and opponents matchups and the general suckage of the NFC can still get us the #1.

I really wanna win another game.

Really bad.

I just don't wanna go 1-15 again. I just wanna taste a win at least once more before this long, dreadful offseason.

I want the number one pick of course, but I really just want one more win. It looks like Cincy's our only concern now..

Come on Bungles! Give us some breathing room!

    • The aversion to tying up too much money in the ground game around when it’s what’s winning us games is crazy to me. I get letting Rico walk if you think he’s easily replaceable but I don’t see many people arguing that, just applying an arbitrary salary cap based on what we think RBs are currently worth. I’d rather be stuck with Hubbard as an overpaid backup (not the worst one to have, mind you) than lose out on the most productive player on the offense personally.
    • Why do people keep saying things like “it’s not Young’s fault we spent so much to draft him”? Who cares if it’s his fault?  Nobody is saying send him to jail or anything.  People aren’t talking about blame for the decision to draft him, they’re talking about how bad he is as a QB and how we’d be much better with even an average QB.  Pointing out that we sunk a lot of resources into drafting him isn’t invalidated because he didn’t make that decision himself. Doesn’t matter whose fault that was, he’s still not playing like a QB who was drafted at all, much less one that cost two firsts, two seconds and a #1 WR.
