(By Joseph Person, [email protected]) John Fox has three games left as the coach of the Carolina Panthers - and he plans to start Jimmy Clausen at quarterback in each of them.p/Despite Clausen's ongoing struggles and sagging confidence, Fox is sticking with the rookie from Notre Dame as the Panthers (1-12) try to snap a seven-game losing streak Sunday against Arizona.

I don't know.....the way they are running if they limit Clausen's drive killing throwaways and just run (like on the scoring drive against Atl). Carolina could beat AZ.

First I do think Carolina can win the game against AZ. That being said , no matter how good the run game is, the Panthers are still going to have to be able to throw the ball. Even against the Falcons except for the one TD drive, despite the great running game in the 2nd half - once they got downfield Clausen had to make plays to keep drives going. The same will happen this Sunday. The running game will get its yards and plays, but eventually you need to be able to throw the ball. Otherwise they team will maybe get another TD and just a bunch of FG's.

OH , how I hope Cincy beats Cleveland. Come on Jake.... help us out. Gives us a couple of fumbles and at least one pick six.

Who needs Luck, the overhyped college QB.

I still think he's more overrated than Clausen was. Clausen was "NFL-ready," Luck is "HOF ready." At least next year we'll be saying keep starting Luck, we'll be closer to getting Matt Barkley, a real star! Then in '12 we'll be saying keep starting Barkley, we'll be closer to getting Taylor Martinez, a real star!

We could pullout the playbook from the game at Atlanta in Weinke's last start. After watching the camera show Fox's reaction to Jimmy throwing it away on Sunday......I am certain he has considered it.

regardless of what Mel Kiper said, TONS of people thought Clausen had bust written all over him. Why do you think so many teams that needed a QB passed on him.

Teams won't pass on Luck.

    • Not in same league. Caldwell just hit a 10.00 on the RAS. 2nd out of 3830 from 1987 onward.  https://x.com/MathBomb/status/2027885023387349047 Yeah I mean Louis had a sub 9.00 RAS. Still very very good, no doubt. Louis is small, no 2 ways about it. He is likely a sub package lb in nickel packages or specialized WLB. Be fine ST gunner to start for sure. 6 foot flat and 220lb is pushing it for a starting LB. At 10 to 20lbs less than the other LBs he'd better be closer to the top in most timed drills. He's gonna be challenged when some of the wrs in the class can matchup bigger stronger faster, much less TE in the run game.  Yeah instinct matter and he has them, but that size is a massive red flag compared to many of the other LBS in this class.    Rodriguez is the LB that really climbed this week from a pure grit guy to great flash with athleticism people wrote off cause he was a QB at first at UVA. 18.4mph in the backpedal. Production the last 2 years were great. I'd be thrilled with him as the future mike.   Hill likely moved out of 51 and into the top 45 picks ( Ravens at 45 I can't imagine don't bite if he makes it there). Honestly Hill imo is a 1st rounder and I'd be ok with him as he fits the MLB we have missed the last few years. People would crow it's a reach but he's top 30 all-time I'm RAS for a LB at 9.9+ . Plus he was big time in big games when he was healthy. And that br a big check: meds.
    • Miller, Melo, Coby, Moose, and Bridges all on the floor at the same time must be a nightmare for defenses lol. Switch one out for Kon and still a nightmare. Coby really does bring a true 6th man value and looks like he could start if Melo was out after only a few games of getting his feet wet.
    • Well I guess he should stop playing football. This was his defining moment and chance to prove he was generational and he failed. What a waste of football life..
