BEREA, Ohio -- Cleveland Browns coach Eric Mangini named rookie quarterback Colt McCoy the starter for their upcoming game against the Cincinnati Bengals and for the remainder of the 2010 season Thursday.

McCoy, who missed the past three games with a high-ankle sprain, will take first-team reps in practice with the Browns for the second straight day.

Browns veteran quarterback Jake Delhomme struggled in place of McCoy. Last week he threw for 86 yards, one interception and lost a fumble in a loss to the Buffalo Bills.

Mangini also hinted this week that it's possible Seneca Wallace could be the No. 2 quarterback when the Browns (5-8) face Cincinnati (2-11), so the team would preserve the option to run some Wildcat packages and other trick plays if needed.
