Clausen=Hall of Fame?

Of course if he didn't, you'd have made a huge deal of it.

Absolutely we would have, and since he played mediocre at best I'm still going to rip it to shreds because coddling him for it isn't going to help us.

For the love of all that is holy, Matt friggin Flynn a seventh rounder in his second season has put up 3 TDs and 229 yards on 29 completions against the Patriots so far fighting for playoff spots.

I'm not going to get excited about a pedestrian performance by Clausen against the Cardinals with nothing on the line. Is the kid a bust? Who the f*ck knows.

But it's damn clear the Panthers should not rest any hope on him because that would be a HUGE gamble at this point.

You are to sarcasm what Randy Hedberg was to success. And again, I'll say it. What's great is if you switched their numbers, you'd be saying how well Skelton played and how Clausen sucked.

You are to analogies what diarrhea is to happiness.

Switch their numbers, turn their helmets backwards, untie their shoes, neither one of Skelton's or Clausen's performances are anything to get excited about and pat them on the back and pretend we might have a franchise QB on our hands.

Clausen hasn't proved he's not a franchise QB, he hasn't had enough experience, or enough chances, but you don't pin your hopes on anything he's done so far, therefore you address the position in the draft.

Clausen played okay today.

He made the passes early when we had to, and looked decent.

But this was the fuggin Cardinals. He still looked afraid to make some passes and still checked down a lot, and we won because of Stewart.

He looked nothing above game manager, which I suppose is good for a Rookie, but still I'd like to get Luck.

Also, great job today O-line.

TRD in 3, 2, 1...

I'm here now. I called this game perfectly.

I don't know what you want? You want me to slobber over his mediocre performance because he happened to not lose a game against the Cardinals? It's sad how some of you Clausen apologists have lowered your standards so much that you focus on Clausen's "performance" rather than give credit where it's due. Stew had almost as many rushing yards by himself as Clausen had through the air. Pretty sad.

I would argue that this is a better cards defense than the one that intercepted delhomme 5 times.

Like it or not people, Jimmy keeps getting better. I liked his accuracy and willingness on his throws down the field.

The Golden Calf of Bristol went 8 for 16.

And the long run was The Golden Calf of Bristol screwing up a play call..

The Golden Calf of Bristol could be good, as could Clausen, but to say The Golden Calf of Bristol looked way ahead is either dumb, or your just hating as usual..

    • I can say that I have defended Canales because I get that they are doing all they can to keep from looking like idiots for drafting Bryce, from the trade up to signing $150m guards to drafting XL and Brooks etc---nothing seems to work.  And Hiring Canales was part of the Bryce Young rehab program, so so he can't really decide to "move on."  That has to come from Morgan and Tepper. Personally, I think Bryce is due for an injury.  He is small, he is not thick, and he has been a LOT more healthy than most any other QB has who has endured so much pressure.  The thing that bothers me is this---Bryce really does not go through his progressions quickly.  He locks on to his presnap read and stays locked onto him for too long--he seems to fail to anticipate the WR/TE's positioning on the play before the cut--for example, if the WR is running a dig and the CB has his back to the inside of the field, he should be open for a second or less just after the cut.  He seems to wait until the cut has been made before deciding, then checking down quickly while moving in the pocket. OL:  There seems to be a lack of communication--is that on Mays?  Watch this team presnap--they seem a bit confused at times.   I can almost predict the success rate of the play by watching the center and QB before the snap.
    • Anyone else remember back in 2010 when Fox piloted having music under the in-game replays during one of Carolina's games? Not the commercial bumpers but the actual replay clips that the announcers would talk over. Pretty sure it was vs the 49ers. And it was terrible. Point being, Carolina continues being so bad that we get the networks trying things out during their games.
    • Is it bad I found this video more hilarious than pathetic? I am still laughing at that one play where half the people on the field ran into each other and Bryce still couldn't see Chuba wide open... Also laughing at Cade blocking nobody and somehow losing his cleat Man this offense is a poo show
