Verdict: 2001 vs 2010

I'm gonna say this year was worse.

Looking at the problems we've had in these years, glad I won't be around to see 2100.

Our offense was at least decent in 2001, even if Weinke loved to throw those high INTs. Our defense kept letting us down late. We were in most games.

Very few games this season were close enough for our defense to let us down like in 2001. 2001 was easily the better year.

at least we were competitive in 01. this year we were only competitive in 3 games, 2 of those we won.

I would say they're almost even. But at least it didn't happend this season didn't happend in Fox's first season. And our win-loss record were better, but still I would say it somewhat even.

This one was worse to watch, and it hurt a helluva lot more. Most of the games were not even competitive, whereas, in '01, the games were in question until late in the game (at least).

TBH, I'm not disappointed in the players (for the most part), I feel like they gave it their best. The ball bounced the wrong way at every break in the game, and the team struggled at the point of attack on offense and defense.

The thing about football, is there's always next week, and there's always next season. If you don't like what happened today, there's always a place for improvement, and a way to get there. Go Cats.

This year was worse because we all had higher expectations. At the end of last year it seemed Matt Moore could be a winning NFL quarterback and our running backs would thrive with a decent O line. Also in 2001 I don't think Carolina fans had the same standards that we have had since the Super Bowl.
