How disgusted are you that we basically gave away a low first rounder for Edwards?

It seems this team is stretching with its draft picks trying to get that surprise pick instead of a decent player. Also focusing a bit to much on positions instead of just taking the best available player.

These tendencies are disappointing to see.

It was a bad move, but I'm not disgusted. Beside, we still have that 1st pick in the '11 Draft so it no big deal anymore. We haven't got a 1st round pick since we got Otah & Stewart 2 yrs. ago, so at least we didn't give that one away for this upcoming Draft.

Whats more mind numbing is it followed the same blunder from a year before with Brown.

Love all the fire fox talk, but gents the true issue isnt changing unless we get a surprise. Hurney who had us at the brink of the cap (with average talent) year after year, repeatedly on the short end of the trade stick and one of the worst free agent signers in history is still your man. Dont forget the repeated in house max contracts.

Don't really care that much... "It is what it is" and "Hindsight is 20/20."

They had no idea that is where the pick would land for sure... and decided Edwards was worth what they thought would be a mid second next year. He still could be.

The team desperately needed help at receiver and needed explosive offensive playmakers. IMO, if you look at this draft down the line, it will have turned out very well for us... AE included.

No, Hurney is excellent at what he does. There are threads about that too.

It's funny, the Hurney and AE apologizers are fine with him not playing this year because he is a "project" but we gave up a 2nd rounder to get him. Wouldn't you expect a 2nd rounder to be good enough to SEE THE FIELD his first year?
