So who here thinks Matt Moore will get re-signed for next year?

I think they should sign Hasselbeck. I think he's supposed to be a FA this offseason (assuming CBA agreement).

I'm not sure if he is or isn't.

Either way, I don't think he's ready to take on a mentor role yet. I think if he leaves Seattle it'll be to compete for a starting job or retire.

I also don't think McNabb or Palmer are going to want to sit behind a rookie.

Awesome idea. By the time this next season starts his bald spot on top of his head would be so large, the glare would come through his helmet and blind all defenders! ;)

Apologies to his fans, but Hasslebeck a Panther? Oil and water. They just don't mix. If we get a vet, at least get someone with some fire and intensity.

The passive, laid-back era or personnel needs to end for good in Charlotte.

"Game Experience"?

JaMarcus Russell has lots of game experience too and is a Free Agent.

Just sayin.

damn good point, we need to sign a backup that luck and clausen can learn from. Matt Moore's mentor was Jake and I dont want Luck learning any of it

Bit of a stretch don't you think? Going by Luck's own accomplishments I don't see him in need of mentoring as much as previous rookie QB's from other QB's. His mentoring would have to come from someone else. QB coach is key here, not a player.

I'm fine with Luck sitting a year to learn behind a vet. Rodgers sat, what, four years?

Don't compare apples to oranges. Rodgers was a luxury pick and in zero ways can be compared to our situation now.

IF we draft Luck, any QB that comes here knows that they will most likely get half a season starting if any.

My sarcasm detector stopped getting a reading at the MM/JD part.

Well I never understood the idea that some fans have that you have to be an elite player to be a great teacher or coach.

In real life it's actually the opposite. Those that can't perform are usually the ones that become teachers and teach others. And usually really great players are HORRIBLE teachers.

You don't have to be a great player, in terms of performance to be a great teacher or mentor. I mean honestly, can anyone here really ever see Steve Smith as a good WR mentor? LOL!

The main thing I saw Matt display that Jake did, was fire and passion. And that's actually the thing I like about him. Something we need more of.
