PC Speakers

I think Logitech has some options in that range.

If you really want to get some bang for your buck, though, save up just a bit more. If your set doesn't have even a crappy subwoofer then you are missing out. I bought my logitech Z2300 set around 2 years ago now and man does it blow the roof off my room. In my previous apartments I couldn't even use the subwoofer because even on low it would have my neighbors knocking on my door.

Also, in general when it comes to electronics you get what you pay for. All pairs of $15-$25 pc speakers I've had in the past have broken within a few months.

I have the Logitech S-220s from a long time ago. It's the minimum you should spend on speakers I feel.

There are very good and while I don't crank them up very loud they can go very high with little to no distortion. Would probably sound better with a good sound card too.

They aren't going to be rich beautiful sound but for 27 bucks you cannot beat them you would need to get up to the 80 dollar range before you got a better product if even then.

I just came into possession of a hundred more dollars (all in ones ofc) but I was thinking of actually going with the S-220s... I really don't want to drop all of the aforementioned amount on speakers alone.

Swan M10s for around 110-120.

Klipsch Promedia 2.1s for around 150

M-Audio AV30s are like 80ish i think.. the AV40s are about 120.

I got some cheap 20 dollar altec lansings from wal-mart while i was waiting for my M-Audios to arrive. Honestly.. anything under 30 dollars is better spent on earbuds or the low-end sennheiser headphone market.

If you're getting speakers for music, get the M10s if you've got the money to spare. They're pretty and you can use them for movies and gaming too however they're at their best with music. theaudioinsider sells them. The only issue with these is that you have to set them up a certain way on your desk. The subwoofer(really a midwoofer) has to be right in front of you. I know people who use it as their lcd monitor stand though.

For mostly movies and gaming, get the promedias.. although they seem to decay over a span of 3 years.

For everything, get the M-Audios.. I've got av40s and I love them. I've used them for xbox, movies, music, and they sound really good. they are a 2.0 system and can be used as studio monitors too. The only problem is that they take up more space than the promedias and m10s since they're 2.0 bookshelf style monitors. I've had to buy a new desk because of them..

Bose systems tend to sound good when you hear them.. they lack a sufficient midrange... so they're good for movies and gaming.. but music will be too bassy-trebley.. And NEVER get Acoustimass or max or whatever the hell the fake subwoofer system is they use. All it'll do is blow air and sound too hip-hop bassy rather than intermediate between tight bass in rock music and loose bass in hip-hop.. Another thing.. the price doesn't match the quality you get. bose is 50% name. yes they sound good, but you could get the same quality for half the price from other brands

That said, if you just want something to have sound coming from.. and low budget(50-60 bucks).. then get a pair of altec lansings or boston speakers..

Logitechs can be good or bad.. Try to stay away from 5.1 systems when you want music. I generally try not to recommend Logitechs simply because they're usually all bass.

Honestly.. if you want the best value.. get the m10s.. not only are they great sounding.. but they look really good too. and they come with a pair of white gloves for handling them. (there's a video on youtube with some guy with big hands trying to wear them while unpacking the speakers)

    • Who is comparing the two QB’s as football players? They’re completely different QB’s i said before Baker got here that he could play but the huddle swore up and down he was the worst ever  Bryce very similar right now. Bryce out there with a bunch of guys that’ll be out of the league in a few years minus TMac. And given this thread is about the 4th and 1 play specifically well it was actually TMac that butchered the entire play by running the wrong route
    • Team goes as the QB goes. It's no wonder we get dogwalked on a regular basis. That's the face of the franchise.
    • Rookie 2nd rounder in his first career game (and a few weeks post punctured lung) gets 6 snaps, is doubled on 5 of them, created a pressure to force a QB scramble on the only one he was singled, and still put a little pressure on one of the doubles which ended up being an INT........... And people look at that as a bad first impression? Even if you wanted to see a better move to beat or get off the double team, just the fact that he's making teams account for him with 2 players on a given snap, is a win for the defense.  It's up to the rest of the defense to make the other team pay for doing so, you can't fault him for that. Seriously, it's like some people are just going to be upset with everything if we're not a SB contender every season and play like it every snap of every game.  I've been screaming it all offseason, we're not a player or two away from being a contender, we're still in the early phase of a re-build, especially if we don't have the QB (spoiler alert, we don't).   Sometimes you just have to see potential and growth from a team at this phase of the process, expecting elite play in week 1 out of guys like Scourton is a picture perfect recipe for ending up upset. If that's what he does in his first game coming off the freak injury and less practice time while recovering, I'm extremely optimistic of what he can turn into with more experience and time to work on his craft.
