Do we know for sure?

Maybe JH wouldn't return our calls, but i doubt it.

It seems to me Richardson has decided who is he is hiring. An assistant.

This is simply bad business. Which should be surprising to all of you who talk about what a great businessman JR is.

You don't lock yourself into one option. You may have a bias but that doesn't mean you don't even interview Harbaugh, Cowher, Gruden etc...

Until you get them in for a formal interview you can't know for sure they are they best option for the team.

Think you should open up the coach search. Heck, bring in a Gruden or Bilick just to cover your bases and at least help with the "panthers are cheap" image problem. If these four are it, :( I think it depends who gets beat this weekend also, might open up some spots and bring in some last minute interviews.

Good point. There may be some opening we are waiting on from playoff teams. THAT would at least get me a LITTLE excited! If we at least got a coach from a playoff contender, at least we would have something to talk about.

Any word on the Patriot's coordinators being a possibility? I would hire one in a heart beat and torture them in the back of the facility till they spill their guts on Billichick's methods.

Pats don't really have true coordinators currently. Belichick is the overall brain. Everyone that has come out of NE has been a complete flop.

I don't think Carolina is waiting on the playoff teams to finish. Who are you thinking of? Carolina is pretty set in stone about a DC.

    • I was playing around with the ESPN playoff predictor and it shows if 49ers and Rams finish with same record, the Rams hold the tiebreaker.
    • This is my thinking as well. Seattle played as good as they could on defense and Panthers still had a chance until those back to back turnovers.  I don't think the Rams played particularly well in their game against us, alot things went our way in order to win.  Someone pointed out the Rams were bad on the east coast road games and Seattle has been the better road team but they just fought a hard contested game against the Panthers, and now they travel to San Fran this week for their biggest game of the season to determine the division and if they are the overall #1 seed in the NFC or will be traveling for the Wildcard weekend.  If they lose they then travel back cross the country to play a team they've just beaten two weeks ago, not saying they won't be favored against the Panthers but the energy of hosting our first playoff game in 10 years along with the get back effect of having just lost to this team could be huge.
    • I don’t know about shadowing and all that, but according to this, whatever we are doing is working
