Would trading for John Kitna be a good move?

Would I take Kitna? As a stopgap, sure.

But I wouldn't give up more than a 6th or 7th, and I doubt the Cowboys would make that deal.

Backup QB becomes more important the deeper in the playoffs a team goes. So we don't have that concern.

I'd rather play a young QB like Kolb or Clausen. We either end up with a promising QB for the future or crash and burn.

We'd likely crash and burn but that means we'll have a shot at another potential franchise QB (Luck or Barkley). I don't like the idea of playing QBs like Kitna or McNabb. They won't do anything but help us reach mediocrity.
