the team is desperate for a win. tyrus thomas is back and it seems less players are wearing head bands on the team. close game but i fear we will lose it down the stretch.

nba games are won by stars and the stars on our team probably man for man are the worst in the league. we've seen iguodola, derrick rose, chris paul (and david west) step up. we need a guy to take over late in games for us. Jack's not consistent enough.

I guess we have better finishers than the Twolves though.

The one HUGE difference I have noticed since Larry was canned is the low turnover rate. The cats have only two TO this half and have been well below their Larry Brown turnover avg ever since Silas has taken over. I still think this team needs to make a play for a Center. Fwiw, I was on the trade boris train, but considering he is the smartest player on our team and has shown great improvement since silas got here, I would hate to see him leave. Anyway, heres to a great second half and big road win. BOOM BOOM CLAP!

    • I encourage you to go back and watch his college play. Notice how he immediately backpedals to 10 yards behind the LOS on almost every snap. You can't do that in the NFL. Your OTs have no chance of keeping those freak show edge rushers off of you. You can't create a pocket that deep. If you drop back like that in the NFL on a regular basis you're basically on your own. Your OL can't do a whole lot for you. Bryce can chuck it when he has an airport runway in front of him to step up into. There's a reason why "ease of generating velocity" is such a talking point evaluating QBs. It's not how hard or how far you can throw the ball given a perfect situation. It's how hard and how far you can throw the ball in a typical NFL game situation and that's where a lot of my concerns with Bryce were going into the draft. There were way too many plays in his college tape that if you were watching that purely in terms of translating it to the NFL it just didn't work.
    • Yeah, like I said I get it. From a revenue perspective I'm not a good customer for them. They've probably intentionally tanked offline franchise mode to try to get people online. Again, not a terrible strategy from a pure business perspective. I can't really be mad at them for doing what's good for business but yeah, from my perspective it still sucks.
    • Ok let me be more specific. Smith was a stud before Newton got here do you not agree? Yes, LaFell improved under Cam but then had his best years after leaving the Panthers with Cam as the QB and going to NE. So he improved playing with someone else. Olsen was in Chicage the year before Cam arrived and statistically had the same numbers his first year with Cam.  Hope that's clearer for you.
