Serious (Sad) Question

So a co-worker was set to have twins. Well, she gave birth to one, and the other died. So here's the question, do I get a condolence card or a congratulations card? I mean on the one hand I don't want to give her a congratulations when one of her twins died, but on the other hand I don't want to short-change the birth of a happy healthy child by only acknowledging the tragedy of the situation.

I looked in Hallmark, and they don't have con-trad-ulation cards.

Follow-up question: When, if ever would you tell the surviving twin that they had a sibling?

Well we got the one issue sewn up; blank card. Good idea there. Hadn't thought of that.

Now for the hypothetical: If you were the parent, would you ever tell the surviving twin that they had a twin? If so, when?

yeah, definitely. I know a couple people this has happened to, one of which was my grandmother. her parents told her and she has known her whole life.

Which also means I could potentially have twins since it skips a generation.

    • Hope it works that way. An ancillary benefit of having so many holes.
    • I made the point it was one side of the story. But what he said about Gettleman, the chronology, seemed pretty accurate.    What I remember is Smitty’s contract was prohibitively expensive due to its structure and he would not renegotiate. Sort of forced their hand because it was a very high figure for the era. That could tie in with him wanting out.  I remember I pointed that out but people didn’t want to hear that at the time. I don’t blame them, Smitty was probably my favorite Panther I ever watched play, again… at the time. He might still be if I went back and watched.  My thing with it is mostly Gettleman dropping the bomb at the combine. It foreshadowed his Norman melt down, Mr Tact.
    • How can they be sure he’ll succeed if they don’t give him every chance?    In case I need to say it, that is sarcasm.
