Drafting a Friend for Jimmy Jam....

Actually, yes, it is.

Most teams in the mid to late first rounds would trade their 1st and 2nd for the first pick.

What prospect would they be willing to trade up for? Peterson or Green are really the only ELITE prospects on the board.....

Who was the last dominant DT taken in the top 5?

I'm with you on this one. Fairley isn't the answer, he's a bust waiting to happen. I'm on the A.J. Green/ Patrick Peterson bandwagon (it changes depending on the day, weather or side of the bed I wake up on). However if someone offered their first and second and maybe a third or fourth in 2012 I would take the offer without hesitation......

Ok, Peterson or Green then.

You can't tell me San Diego would not want Rivers throwing to Green. at the cost of a second rounder.

    • Lions were never going Freeling over Miller for the same reason we wouldn't have taken Miller had Freeling not been on the board. Miller is a career RT Lions have a hole at RT, we have a hole at LT. If we took Miller, it would have been for him to backup Moton until he retires and/or we release him, so the best case scenario is it would have been a wasted 1st round pick for at least 1, if not 2 years.  At least Freeling has a shot at playing this year without injury ahead of him, he absolutely can win the LT job if he earns it, but Miller would have never supplanted Moton this year unless he got hurt.
    • What up y’all. I like threads like this where we can stroll down memory lane. I remember the insane amount of site traffic pre-crash when we signed Keyshawn Johnson, 06 I believe. Raging about the Cowboys Christmas Eve loss in 05 (Peppers touched that FG attempt as sure as Cotchery caught it). When I found the huddle I basically had a first born baby, now I’ve got one in college and one in high school. Life comes at you fast, but the Panthers and the Huddle has been a steady constant in my life for many years.  Those who have been here, y’all are cool with me any time any where.    Cheers, genitals!
    • This is a weird post since it wasn’t like we got A’s across the board. We needed a QB and got a consensus top 2 player at that position. (I was pretty vocal that Stroud should’ve been the guy but…)  I think this draft we generally got better value. I’m not particularly optimistic on BY but another year in this offense playing with TMac he really needs to be a consistently average QB at a minimum
