Cam Newton Workout Phenomenal

I knew you'd be here too still trying to downplay Cam as the best QB coming out. Dont worry, I dont expect you to admit you've been DEAD WRONG so far about Cam. Wrong about him winning the national title. Wrong about him being stripped of it. Wrong about him not being the best QB coming out. Please keep it up and please keep believing Andrew Luck is coming to Carolina.

Christ I just fuging said that I wanted to see him at the combine to see how he's improved and then I would make my own judgement about him being here. Just call me a racist now instead of waiting 10 or so posts. I would rather you get it over with and troll on somewhere else. Also nobody, including yourself knows what the long term effects of this year will be on Auburn. It took the NCAA six years to strip USC of their championship, so for you to state anything about Auburn's title like it's a fact is laughable.......

I don't take anything that ESPN says or does for any value anymore. They don't care nor concentrate on small market teams. They care about ratings and pleasing the big wigs in the sports world. When a scout with some clout comes out and praises cam newton like dilfer did than I'm all for it. Remember who is paying Dilfer.

So what we found out is that after working with a legitimate NFL coach for a few weeks he has mastered the footwork and timing that people said was lacking. We will find out in a few weeks how he interviews, his wonderlic, and combine numbers. It seems to me that we will know the answer to the questions shortly. I expect we will find out he is the real deal but will still need work to be ready for the NFL.

As for Dilfer, he tends to be a lot more critical of quarterbacks than an analyst like Jaws for example. If he saw the workout and believes it was one of the best he has ever seen, that indeed is high praise.

Well then maybe you should make that a little more obvious instead of just completely disregarding any validity to the posters mention of him being paid. The only fact we know is that his dad tried to pimp him out.

But I AM disregarding the validity of his post. Because there is no validity to what he said, because it's a continuing investigation. He said Auburn paid him. We don't know that.

I would say theres a good chance something shady went down with that one fact that we do know, but like most people I'll wait till the investigation completes to cast stones....

Then you aren't making the same statement he is that "Auburn paid him".

And FWIW, I personally don't give a flying fug if Auburn paid him to play. All I care about is if he can elevate our dismal QB play, and win games. What happened regarding eligibility is a College issue, and has poo to do with the NFL. The NCAA will vacate Auburn's title if there is wrong doing... it's over and done with already.

We don't know that they didn't either so theres no reason to disregard the validity of his post because he may in fact be right. See it goes both ways. As for whether or not he was or wasn't paid the College Football and most of all USC fan in me cares because it's a much worse accusation then the Reggie Bush case, but as for Cam as the pro prospect I couldn't care less about it. What worries me more is the Laptop incident at UF.....

Until he is proven guilty of anything he gets the benefit of the doubt. That the way it works in this country or at least should. So lets can all the accusations until there is evidence to support it. As for what happens if in 6 years they find he did something wrong, who really cares at that point. I seem to think that Reggie Bush is doing fine and still has a Superbowl ring although he turned in his Heisman. Once he makes the pros- what happened in college is ancient history.

I think you're sad, I took a week off from these threads but haters like yourself wont. Every Cam thread your praying and hoping the NCAA will come down and strip him of everything. You just cant accept this dude is the BEST coming out. Ive been saying it for months and you still wont accept it. I wish the mods had the courage to confront you about your BS. Every Cam thread telling us how he's dirty how its gonna be taken away. I guess blacks are guilty until proven innocent to you.

    • I had started typing my post hours ago and didn’t finish it and just came back to finish it, posted it, then saw yours and saw we were pretty much saying the same thing - even the games that stick out to us most.  I don’t think a lot of people remember that SF playoff game, but I felt like I had just got mugged in broad daylight.  I remember them calling Mitchell for unnecessary roughness, and then I remember watching Boldin take a super late cheap shot, dead in front of the ref and then showing him watching the whole thing in replay…  the refs let them have a fuging field day and didn’t do jack poo, but if we so much as breathed the wrong way it was fuging 15 yards.  Each team playing under two completely different sets of rules.  poo hurt.  I was enraged.  I’ve never went back to watch either that game or SB50 and never will.  fuging robbery.
    • I’ve said it a million times since, but it’s impossible to keep them from affecting the game.  In SB50, they literally took the game from us, and they did it early.  Cotchery’s no-catch?  The miraculous amount of times we converted for a first down only to have it suddenly called back make it a 3rd down and 15+ against the best defense in the league that specialized in rushing the passer and man coverage on the back end?  And you do that enough times, you kill the morale and confidence of the team you’re doing it against.  It’s telling the one team “you can do whatever with impunity” and the other “you can’t do whatever they’re allowed to do.”  It changes the aggression level.  It essentially neuters one team and allows the other to do whatever the fug they want.  Imagine you call the police for help and they get there and tell you to sit still while the other party beats the poo out of you and you can’t defend yourself.  That’s what the officials do.  There is no way to avoid them affecting the game.  And more often than not, it’s the most subjective calls they use to do so.  Even in SB50…  you saw the Broncos commit more egregious penalties than anything we did, and barely any of it was called.  Their OL was holding all fuging game and the refs did nothing.  We already had our work cut out for us against two future HOF edge rushers and the refs played to their advantage with that.  From what I remember, both Oher and Remmers were called for holding at various times and their hands were in the INSIDE of the defender.  It was garbage, but all by design. Also, if there is any video of it anywhere, go look at what the refs did against us back in 2013 against SF.  The fix was in there too.  They stepped in early and often and ensured we knew we were not allowed to play with the same aggression or intensity SF was.  It was disgusting as well. at this point, I hope Vince McMahon, errr, I mean Goodell just finally scripts us to win it, because this poo is not won via competition or off merit.
    • You can go back to the New York Knicks somehow getting Patrick Ewing.  I saw a story where they place the New York Knick card in the freezer right before the drawing.  It was simple.  Show everyone the cards are undetectable to the human eye.  All they had to do was grab the coldest card. IMO ever since Goodell took over the NFL it has been fishy.  Patriots winning the SB after 9/11, New Orleans after Katrina and Peyton Manning's going away gift against us. The terrible calls during that game were blatantly one sided.  New England should have been stripped of their first 3 SB when they were caught spying on the other team in their SB wins.  I think the evidence against the Patriots was so damning Goodell felt it could ruin football and they brushed it under the table.   In the 2004 SB, How did we go from practically no yards in the first Quarter to setting a record in the 3rd Qtr.  Dan Henning changes the game plan.  IMO probably the greatest half time adjustment of all time.
