Tania Ganguli of the Florida Times-Union reports the Jaguars are not “especially optimistic a deal will get done” in the next day and the team is expected to use the tag to keep Lewis. The expected franchise number for tight ends is $7.3 million.

I'm waiting to see what happens in Oakland. But most likely they are going to tag Miller. We're going to have to settle for Kevin Boss or Owen Daniels. I'm fine with that but they're both a bit injury prone.

miller is a lot less likely to be available than lewis, but i would be more than fine with lewis.

$7mil for a TE is pretty steep. not sure jax will be looking to spend that much, but he's one of the few weapons they have.
