Wallace to Cavs?

Cats better improve if they trade Wallace. I'm familiar with Wallace as all Cats fans are and if they trade him I'm not going to be as attached to the team.

I personally do not like the way Diaw and Jackson play basketball while Kwame Brown is a serviceable big at best. DJ Augustin is a roller coaster. With G-Force you always get some defense and rebounds and usually some attacks at the basket.

With that said if they start winning more games, I'll quickly see past it, but if you trade the face of the franchise and you suck good luck on marketing the team to fans in the next couple years.

I would hate to lose Wallace too, but we have to do something. He's aging, a health risk, and kind of expensive. Our team needs cap relief. We need picks. We need youth.

We need guys like DJ, Henderson, TT, UPS, to be our future. Guys like Wallace and Jax, are just getting older and are too expensive.

We need to target a dominate big man, in the draft, or some way.

The sad fact is, this team won't get past first round in the playoffs. I'm not sure we'll ever get past the first round with all the super teams and whatnot, but we have to try, and to try, we have to get younger and more talented and spend our money wisely. Spending so much on guys like Diop, Nazr, etc, is terrible.

Imo all of the rumors are old news. There has not been one I didn't hear months ago. For all the trade rumors you can find where Silas and Jordan say they are not trying to make any moves and are going to keep the team as is. Also for the rumors that say we are looking to cash in on players and tank the season, Why would you do that when you are 1 game out of 8th place and plays really good basketball as of late. Also why even both giving Silas a 1 year contract if you plan on tanking. I am done speculating and just going to wait until the deadline and see what happens.

    • Was at the game and NYCFC honestly outplayed CLT the whole way.  Khalina and Zaha carried the team.  Zaha's wife on IG making it sound like he's gone come July. They're going to have to pay him or find a big time replacement because the team looks like pretty lost without him.
    • No one's saying LaMelo has no blame we're responding to you acting like he's the reason they lost. The scapegoating and blaming the teams woes on his personality is where it's like Cam Newton all over again. It was a failure on multiple fronts and primarily Lee's. Dude said ON AIR pregame that they had to protect the paint and if that was his gameplan going in he couldn't have botched it more. As the commentators said Ball's a rhythm guy and Orlando was preventing him for getting any kind of flow going. I'm a normie watching on TV and said they needed to bait them into fouling to combat that. They didn't even try until the 2nd half when it was too late. I think it's fair to expect the star to overcome whatever but LaMelo was not the problem in that game and he's not what is holding the team back. He's the only reason they're flirting with being a great team. I kinda put the center play on Lee too. Moose is great until he's up against a big who can body him. We've always known that and that's what Kalkbrenner is for. I don't know if it would have changed much but Kalkbrenner should have had more minutes than him.  And moving forward with the center position, I just think it's the time to trade Diabate while his stock's high and that's not an indictment of his game. He's like an evolved combination of Biyombo and PJ. He's a great rim protector and the strength issue is just what you're going to have to deal with if you want that. But Kalkbrenner is perfectly capable of protecting the rim and we gotta get away from the undersized centers or it'll always be a problem for us.
    • Honestly its why that Jalen Coker grab was a big deal.  I'd been warming up to the idea of a sadiq pick and was adamantly against a receiver...but this altered my train of thought.  I mean For instance, Cade Otton signed for 3 yr 30 mil contract...thats not dramatically different than the rookie payscale for #19 (4 year 20 mil with 5th year option), however you KNOW otton is decent...no clue if Sadiq will be anything.
