Coker is cheap and promising.  XL or Tmac could get hurt or struggle.  That's his spot on the roster.  Basically everyone else is competing for slot or spread it out 4 wide type stuff. 

 

You know how hard it is for a player to play both sides in this era. If they do that, all it takes is to keep Hunter defending non-stop go-routes. He just will not be able, but a small package of plays, sure.

So they need a #2 for 80-90% of the snaps and/or #3 for 100% of the plays. Coker would hold plenty of value for them.  

On the Panthers roster, Im not sure he gets a jersey since he's limited on ST.

The secondary context I was speaking of is just like most PFF d riders, it magically only matters when it fits your preferred narrative. When it doesn't, then all of a sudden there's some other "context" or something or the other that needs to come into play. LOL 

I've always said that PFF is a tool. If you don't know how to use it, or don't want to know how to use it, then it's useless. But some people actually do know how to use it---which is why it still exists and is used by all 32 NFL teams---and part of this is putting it all within context----seeing the bigger picture.

If you don't understand that not all players, develop at the same rate, have different levels of talent, have injuries that affect their play, and face different circumstances in regards to the opposition and coaching, for example, then I don't know what to tell you. Coaches set expectations based upon a variety of things, not only last year's stat sheet, which may have been brought about by dynamics that you, as a fan, may or may not understand. And even if you have some understanding of them, as a fan, you still will never have the clarity that they do---the concerns or the context that they do. As a fan, you should even be putting your lack of understanding their context, into context (and stop trying to act like you know something to be true based upon a bad season at the end of the day).

He was on the "sideline" during OTA or mini camp, Im sure there was some Twitter/X post but news just moves so fast now. 

He's not getting the press as TMac or even Horn, but he is making plays. That's the other deal, Im a big fan of his!  Just in order to get great value you need to give value in return. I said he would have been a 3rd rounder in 2025 draft, he just had bad luck with injuries hurting his stock and coming out in a deep WR class.

I'm just enjoying watching two Panthers fans absolutely crashing out over the hypothetical pursuit of a LB that the 31st ranked defense in the league that spent a 1st round pick on the guy and is uncertain whether or not they want him to be to be a part of their future or not. Good stuff.

Did I say that? Try again. In fact, I said the exact opposite in several respects.

I don't run a football team, and I wouldn't presume to know what the ball boy knows, much less Eric Eager (for example). I can only know so much. 

I may question someone's opinion within the context of giving my own, but clowning people and personal insults are not my go-to style. Now, as some have learned over the more than last couple of decades, I can and will get stupid with people who get stupid with me.
