People keep saying the huddle is dying, but, if the cats have a good year, it will be popping again

The Panthers reddit and Facebook groups are ghost towns too....

8 years of suckitude does that.

That said most of us still on the huddle have probably all been posting here since an average of like 2006 under one handle or anther lol,

The age of the average huddler is now late 30s from what I can tell as well.

Most of the people saying that are in just in their feelings. Obviously this format is dated af but if anything kills the huddle it will be the Tepper's.

I think thou doth protest too much. I've seen plenty of posts from you where you are anything but anti Tepper.

I can't even take out my Panthers wallet without someone asking me why on earth I'm a Panthers fan 🤣

If you or anyone else want to live sunshine and rainbows shooting from your buttocks 24/7 and be an unpaid mouthpiece for the Tepper's that is absolutely your right to do so. Doesn't mean it's the only way or the right way to be a fan.

You’re just reinforcing everything I said. It’s these posters who live in the world of absolutes that have dragged the huddle into to the mud over the past few years. Not wanting to dwell in constant negativity = shooting sunshine and rainbows from your ass 24/7. Not constantly whining about Tepper = being a mouthpiece for Tepper. No in-between. There is no room for normal conversation in that world. We shouldn’t have to explain such simple concepts, it is a complete drag, but there’s just not enough huddlers left who are sick of that poo because they all just left once this nonsense got empowered.

The guy who started this place has directly told you and anyone else that's been paying attention exactly what the current ownership is and why the ensuing results are what they are. You are mad and looking to place blame for what you perceive to be only negativity at other fans for perceivedly bursting your bubble. That's fine and understandable. But this is not a franchise with sustained success to justify that. If and when we emerge from the gutter then things will change for the better and the staff and front office will begin to receive the benefit of the doubt on things more often than not. But that will not happen before. That's not on you me or any other fan. But that is the current reality for the franchise. No amount of complaints from anyone here one way or another will change that.

I have my doubts, tbh. Any new bandwagon fans who are on the younger side probably won’t be looking for internet message boards. We’ll probably lose a lot of old huddlers who may have otherwise returned because the password recovery doesn’t work. Many won’t return who left for reasons other than the team sucking. Others will be driven off by the ads and system drag. But maybe somebody actually comes along and takes care of the place, that could help.

Yea its universal downward trend. I think x/twatter is where many are and discord has some groups. I tried to join discord but had privacy issues.

YouTube has too many panther content people groups, I never subbed or followed one I thought highly enough, besides I try not to login there too.

I do know this the average NFL fan views the Panthers as irrelevant. Cam bought a whole new group, double if not more than panther fans numbers were he was drafted and scored TDs. Whatever you think of Cam and the fans he bought, that was a huge increase in cred, attention, and traffic. Once Cam was no longer a panther, at the same time Panthers lost Lllllluke, Olsen, Thomas Davis Peppers, CMC, KK, and even DJ Moore. There's no star appeal. pair that with losing and you only have the die-hard or stubborn fans left.

In this current era, there are big groups that only follow single players and not the teams. I came along and was loyal to the team first.....Then fantasy football and gambling have taken over, thus people only care if a player hit their over/under number for the dopamine gambler win, same for fantasy football they don't care if KC won, did malhomes pass for 350+ and more than 2 TDs???? That's just the current deal, and it blows digested cheese chunks

If not for DVR, Id already dropped the watching the Panthers. I could NOT STAND WATCHING ALL THE FANDUEL/GAMBLING ADS. It was beyond sicking to me. They replaced all the beer ads and I drink and was tried of them TOO!!

I don’t know why you keep responding to me it’s like you’re having a totally separate conversation with somebody saying completely different things. I’m not mad, I was responding to somebody other than you and didn’t mention you at all. Since you’re so enlightened you really didn’t have to stoop to my level and start quoting me and trying to tell me what I think. I’m trying to live in my world of sunshine and rainbows I can’t handle all this reality.

I mean i agree with most of this and ngl I'm a big sports gambler (I'm up around 6 figures since it was legalized in nc)  but the adds are f*cking annoying as hell.

I'm still a die hard Panthers fan at heart ❤️  but ngl sports betting made watching the NFL a lot more palatable when I knew they were gonna suck.

It's interesting that you continue to die on this hill of negativity completely ruining your fandom yet you were one of the first people to poo all over the Kon Knueppel pick. Not very consistent of you Mr. Anti Negativity.

    • Went to school in MD when this came out. Dance floor got CRAZY when this joint came on!
    • They had best show out in Week 1 there are zero,I mean zero,  excuses for that offense  defense, haven’t play together yet and they still have Mr Soft and Predictable as DC  I expect break downs at times  …but that offense returns all starters except Tremble and both Mayes and Brady are veterans and can play LG and know the system not up for any participation awards this season they can save that practice energy for Jacksonville.     I’m sick of the, winning,  or looking competitive, when it doesn’t matter.
    • There are some tough decisions that I'm eager to see the results of... Does Blackshear sneak on to the roster as RB4? Does the team go with 4 TEs or just 3 again? And has Mitchell Evans done enough to defend his roster spot from James Mitchell? Who is WR6 and is there a WR7? TMac, XL, Coker, and AT seem to be locks imo and I'm assuming Renfrow also makes it due to all of the camp praise. Who makes it between Brycen Tremayne, Jimmy Horn Jr, and David Moore? If the team goes with 7 WRs, which one of those three doesn't make it? Jacolby George and Emani Bailey both have not gotten a lot of game time. Could the Panthers be trying to hide them so that they can be stashed on the PS? Do they go with 10 OL instead of 9? Who makes it out of Walton, Carter, and Kingston? DL locks are DB, BB3, ARob, and Turk. That leaves Jaden Crumedy, Cam Jackson, Sam Roberts, Shy Tuttle, and LaBryan Ray all competing for the final 1 - 3 spots. Does DJ Johnson get IR'd and Thomas Incoom make the roster as EDGE5? What in the fuuuuuuuuuuuuck is going to happen at LB? Only locks seem to be Wallace, Rozeboom, and Cherelus (Wallace has mentioned in media how Cherelus has been big bro for him on the team). Rhattigan had some good moments against Houston, Martin-Scott is an SC guy, Krys Barnes has popped on defense and on special teams, and Windmon got time starting for the team last season. Are two of those guys going to make it or are the Panthers poaching from another team's cuts? CB5... who is it? Do they go with the 4 expected safeties or bring in a 5th? Has Ransom done enough to take the start from Nick Scott?
