That's exactly what I've been wondering... Do you march out Cousins, who does not perform well behind porous OLs (to be fair, most QBs don't) OR do you send Penix Jr out there and hope for him to not get the poo kicked out of him?

Not an ideal situation for them to be in.

They are all in on the rookie. The optics are bad across the board to attempt to "save" him from a beating by putting in Cousins. If you can't handle that schematically, you are toast as a HC/OC.

Raheem Morris has always been a terrible HC going back to Tampa. I don’t understand why he is so highly thought of.

Hmmm.  One of my old friend's son plays OT for them (Brandon Parker, NC A&T) and he may get some time at starter.  Great kid--strong parents--His dad (my friend) played at UNC and briefly for the Steelers back in the day.

    • Backup QB has been an issue of mine for a long time but not just for Bryce and Dalton. We have never really been able to develop QBs or build an offense around strengths. Dalton isn't going to move the needle one way or another. The problem is in our FO and possibly coaching staff (current staff undetermined as of yet). I'm of the belief that you always try to get better. Dalton wasn't good other than one game against an abysmal defense. Churn the roster, including backup QB. If BY isn't the guy we've got to start over anyway. Who knows. We might actually find someone good. Other teams have done it before.
    • Lol. Worst case? I think you mean most likely result. I don't think people are going to be wasting much breath on Dalton or QB2 if Bryce flounders this year. It's going to be people calling for coaches, GM's and owners heads for the mess we got ourselves in with Bryce in the first place. Rightfully so.
    • I mean that's his sole reason for being here. He doesn't win football games. He's here to keep Bryce comfortable.
