It's about the inexperience of the room

Coaches can't teach players everything, I just really don't like the lack of a seasoned vet WR (Moore doesn't really count with his 115 career receptions) to help these guys out.  Even just the in-between series stuff where the vets are giving the young guys tips and pointers on things, that will be missed if we don't bring someone else in (or Renfrow back).

Usually the best teachers are ones who played the position but didn't have a ton of success for whatever reason.

That's sometimes the case when it comes to the X's and O's of the game, and in film study.

But when it comes down to the little things like hand/foot movement to beat X, Y, or Z coverage off the line or any other number of nuanced like that, basically the things players are discussing on the sideline between series, that's where the vets come into place.

Those are the things that if the coaches who didn't have a ton of success were good at, they'd likely have had more success in their careers.

But either way, none of that changes that coaches can only do so much, having vets to lean on is imperative to young players in their early years, it's not really even debatable.
