But Scott can communicate!!! - Evero

And get a tripping penalty on a 3rd and Goal from the 30 to allow a first down.  Until Nick Scott is cut or on the bench, Evero is an unserious coach incapable of changing.

I guess that makes something he can do...

So many coaches fall into this trap. They prefer the veteran who understands the scheme better over the younger more talented player. It's lazy IMO. Do some coaching. You can't coach that veteran into being faster and more physically capable. You can coach the more physically gifted youngster into better understanding his role in the scheme. Every washed up vet in the league understands the game better now than they did when they were in their prime they're just no longer physically capable of executing. So fuging COACH. They want to nerd out on "muh scheme" instead of actually developing talent. Well bro, your scheme looks like fuging poo right now so I'd suggest trying to develop some talent to make it look less shitty.

I knew it was a shitshow but I didn't know for certain it was this bad. When your headcoach has to force a subordinate to play a player by cutting another player the subordinate refused to bench that's a dysfunctional mess. There's no sugar coating it.

So same DC and the AGM is now GM of the Knives Out season with a cheerleader HC is sliding into dysfunction? I'm only surprised it took 1 full season and into the next for the wheels to start coming off myself. All of these people are fools, it's just a slightly better version of 2023 really. Same Shite Different Season under the Teppers

It really does feel like Evero has total control of the defense. Canales practically begged him publicly to play more youth and Evero didn't so now we're forced to start cutting the vets that he refuses to sit. That's just broken. If that perception is reality then we should honestly just fire Evero now and hand the play sheet to Capers if he's up to it at his age. If not, pick someone else. Pretty sure Renaldo Hill has some DC experience in his background. You just can't have a coordinator who isn't in the same library as the HC on personnel, forget the same page.

They are all fools. Who is Evero being managed by then if DC isn't his boss? Or is DC just getting bullied by his DC? DC signed up for this and had inside information available from his friend who hired him. Evero was there also so he signed up for this mess. He is begging his subordinate to play different guys while the subordinate is failing yet again after a historically bad showing last year?

How the fug am I supposed to take any of that seriously or expect any professionalism from those clowns? It's also hard to expect anyone under Evero being more than a lateral move. He stinks, 'his' guys stink and I am going to go out on a limb and guess his chosen coaches stink too.

It sure seemed like Tepper pretty much told Canales that Evero was going to be his DC so I mean, he's basically Tepper's guy. Whether it was explicitly laid out as such or whether Canales just feels like I can't step on Tepper's guy's toes I have no idea. But it sure looks like a broken working relationship. I mean, at least being on the same page as the HC with personnel on the field seems like an improvement. It's not like I'm concerned about losing Evero's brilliant plays calling. LOL

Lol not at all. Then why isn't DC just asking Tepper rather than whining in public? It's such a pooshow

Yep, total poo show, aka Tepper's Panthers in a nutshell.

This is one of those situations where Tepper SHOULD get involved as an owner. Not in the draft room. Not in weekly haze fests disguised as "meetings". But when you have two subordinates publicly squabbling seemingly over who has final say over the depth chart, you should step in and sit them down and make it very clear who has that authority. Either hey Dave, like we discussed Evero had final say over his unit or hey Ejiro, Dave is the HC and final depth chart say is his. We clear here? Good. I don't want to hear anymore bullshit about you two going at each other about this in the press. That makes us all look like fuging jackasses and we're doing a good enough job of that without giving them extra ammo.

I suspect we'll never know exactly what's going on at BoA but man do I wish that we could get a tell-all of the last few years. I don't care about Rhule but from Reich onward...

I suspect it's even worse behind closed doors than we imagine, as scary as that thought is. I mean, the way Tepper conducted his last GM and HC searches said a LOT IMO. He approached it like a guy who knew top candidates weren't even entertaining the job so he avoided them to avoid being publicly rebuked by top candidates.

Cool now call up Hendon Hooker and active Coker so I can watch a somewhat different version of suck on Sunday.

I don’t see how it could be a lot worse. I am sure it could be but we are talking degrees and there are stretches of time where we have subjected to the worst QB play I can remember seeing, that didn’t come from a backup or a rookie. Not the one off whacky butt fumble type play, just down after down of yuck. I think I might have to go watch Jimmy Clausen tape for therapy.

It would be nice if we had beat writers who were good at their jobs and not just regurgitating whatever the team said.

...Instead we have David Newton.

If Dave had any managers abilities he would be doing some form of that yesterday before they started cutting guys to force hands.

I guess at least something is entertaining with Panthers football this year now.

It is wild how soft and accommodating Charlotte media is on the Panthers. If this poo show was happening on a city with a real sports press it would be absolutely knives out and it would've been for years.
