I'm hoping to go winless the rest of the way and they draft another qb. I'm so done with this experiment with Young and Canales. They both can..

I’m so tired of rookie QBs and all the excuses going around their development. Bring me the best Vet available and draft a guy day 2 to develop on the side.

I don't want to count on someone else's bust or washed up vet. Just keep throwing picks at the problem until one rises to the top. Without a decent qb we are just spinning our wheels. I will also add a coach that isn't a spineless moron to that list.

I think we finish 7-10 and will pick after Mendoza, Moore, and Simpson are off the board.

I can't believe that no one has started a 2026 QB thread yet, at least not 1 that I've seen. I'm not much of a college football guy, but I've been digging around a little bit over the last few weeks, and it sounds like the consensus is that the top 3-4 guys 6 months ago have underperformed so far.

This draft class is weak other than maybe Mendoza. And it looks like many are returning. I would really rather take a chance on getting another Darnold, Mayfield, Geno Smith, Daniel Jones story. Than draft in a weak class like we did with Bryce.

I can already see us taking LaNorris Sellers to turn him into Cam to realize he’s Anthony Richardson.

Hell no to Sellers. Dude is another Anthony Richardson in the making.  Find someone that already knows how to be a qb.

The problem with those reclamation qb's are there's not any available this offseason. But this will be a test for this FO in the offseason. What they do will determine whether I tune in next season.

There isn’t yet, there will be though. I just worry about the QB depth in the draft. Us trading up to 1 in a very bad QB draft got us into this. I would rather take a rental guy like Winston than do that again.

Hell no to trading up! Miss me with that talk. Stay put and see who drops. If it's not a qb so be it. But under no circumstances should they trade up. I'm against trading for one personally but im not ruling out that it may be necessary. Just grab one in the draft somewhere and let him compete in training camp and if he's not worth a backup role cut his ass and move on. The point is you don't limit your options. Stop with the long term projects if they are not showing something immediately that would warrant the investment.

Sellers has bust written all over him..unless he goes to a team that can afford to sit him where he can learn the game and develop without the pressure of starting immediately.

Not sure that is the Panthers. If we do go rookie in the draft, he can't be viewed as a day 1 starter.

He does have potential, but I think it is going to have to be a handle-with-care situation.

    • Nothing will change with the qb situation until Tepper is convinced Young is not viable. Until that point, it will be Young. During that time, any shortcomings of Young will be because he does not have the necessary supporting cast, and/or coaches are failing him with faulty schemes and defective gameplans.  So, until Tepper is out, Young is in.
    • Young is the kind of QB who will go as far as the team drags him 90% of the time. And once in a long while he'll explode and light the opposing team up. That is not anywhere near where we need to be as a team. What' worse is that we've won way too many games this season due to an extremely easy schedule. So we can't select a top QB in the draft, and a free agent QB is usually not the answer.  The Panthers fell victim to a long stretch of bad QBs coming out of college. Even if we had made different moves and selected any number of different QBs coming out, we still would have ended up with a bust most likely. Bryce is a bust. Tua is a bust. Zach Wilson? Yikes. Trey Lance. Justin Fields. Mac Jones. Kenny Picket. CJ Stroud. My point is that a lot of teams were devastated by this stretch of bad QBs coming out of college, but we were dumb enough to trade the farm for one of them.  The smart move? Tale the 2 first round picks from the Rams for Burns, and keep CMC. Sit tight. Whatever QB falls in your lap in the draft, take him. Then use the other two first round picks to build up the o-line on the cheap. This isn't Morning GMing. I said take the Rams deal at the time. We have not had a good GM ever in franchise history.  No more trading up for QBs. Clearly is a total guessing game. Stay put. Trade vets for draft picks and start the rebuilding process with a new GM and new coaches. Cut Bryce and bring him back on a vet min deal. Then cut him again for being trash. He's done here if I had any say.
