I used to work at a job where I occasionally had a desk admin role that included taking messages from employee friends and family.

This one girl had a boyfriend who would call in every day and ask me to "tell Pook I love her" insisting specific that I call her by that name.

My response? I walked over to her desk, then announced loudly and with a straight face in front of her and her nearby coworkers that "loverboy snooky woogums called to tell Pook he wuvs her" 🥰

After which I'd turn and walk back to my desk maintaining as professional a demeanor as I could 😑

That's what mini megaphones are for. It can end up with a trip to HR. I can neither confirm nor deny this. All I can confirm is that it's really funny the day before thanksgiving on the mic in the grocery store.

I'm happy we're winning games and Bryce has contributed in some of them and hopefully is not going to be an all-time bust for us. Every young QB is different. Some hit the ground running, some look like poo and improve later or in different scenarios and some guys never get it. I think we're at the point where we don't need to do anything drastic at the QB spot like we did to get Young in the first place. I think we DEFINITELY need to do what others have mentioned. Sign a QB that can play in case Young has another episode of trash football player and draft a Young guy (no pun) on day 2 or 3 to sit and learn or play later on if we implode with Young. We have to have a real life contingency plan next season. That can't be ignored again.

Worked retail in college and they had me so the closing announcements.

I've had voice training so I got a lot of "whoa" reactions afterward 😄

    • im a big believer in strong  o lines in general and really strong  olines for not so strong  QBs and we have one if those not so strong  QBs, plus with one LT done for the year and another that is aging with knee issues, a versatile tackle, on a rookie contract for the second most important position on the team, is a good thing    from cat crave Dean Jones    “If Francis Mauigoa (Miami) made it this far down the pecking order, it would be a difficult proposition to turn down.   The Miami prospect might not have the prototypical length associated with premier offensive tackles, but you wouldn't know it. His pass protection is exceptional, which is matched by a strong base on running plays and enough athleticism to make a difference at the second level when opportunities arise. Mauigoa can play either tackle with ease. This makes him a short-term replacement for Ekwonu and a potential long-term successor to Moton. And if fans don't think this is possible in the first round, they haven't been paying close enough attention.”   Excerpt From “Carolina Panthers 7-round 2026 NFL mock draft: Pushing forward edition” Cat Crave https://apple.news/AYEo7NKteR6mIGHtthRnzZQ This material may be protected by copyright.
    • I don't know their cap situation, but if they're able to pick up Malik Willis or Mac Jones, they could be trouble. Hell, they were only one game worse than us last year. If Cousins had played all season, who knows?
    • I think it is funny that we label coaches without considering their circumstances.  Bill Belichick has a .449 winning percentage as a head coach when Tom Brady was not under center.  He will be a Hall of Fame coach. Stephanski, on the other hand, was asked to function in the shadow of the Watson crippling signing, one that he opposed (as it came out recently).  I am not quite sure what to think of him, but I am not dismissing him as a bad coach.  He had the worst situation in the NFL the entire time he worked there.  Frustrations mounted between him and the players over the six years he was there, but the dysfunction was manufactured in the front office.
