I watched Shough outplay Bryce by a fair margin.  Again.

I watched Bryce make 2 horrible throws on the same drive as his 1 good throw

Canales is limited in how he calls a game because he has to factor Bryce heavily

Bryce and Shough giving themselves up weren’t comparable

we should of kicked the FG

What take did you have a problem with?

Where? On the post game highlights? 🤔

If you think my takes are terrible, that’s a high complement.   I’d be worried if you agreed and thought they were smart.  I would need to do some soul searching.

And here i thought you were done for the night 😄

I’ll wait for you to address which one you have a problem with.  If you are looking for real time verification you can go to gameday thread lol

until then…

No. I wouldn't say that the defense ranked #2 in the league in yardage allowed but #21 in points allowed was the second best overall defense in the league. That's why it's important to look at both metrics.

You know I'm not worried about the metrics.

Mentioned previously that i don't see him back next season, so that problem resolves itself.

My one worry is that I'm not sure why Canales didn't fire him this past offseason.

That was an easy trigger to justify pulling. Why didn't he?

You'll be waiting a while since I didn't bother reading your entire post 😄

Granted, that's almost as bad as trying to discuss a game that, by your own admission, you didn't watch, but I'm not necessarily gonna give my best effort against someone I know is sh-tposting.

Also not the modern era.

If you don’t want to follow this line of argument simply stop responding.

I'm okay with the discussion, but it's not especially relevant to the current big picture.

Said it earlier: Bryce doesn't have to be historically bad to justify us moving on. Hell, he doesn't absolutely even have to be bad at all.

He only has to be not good enough.

You’re the one who initially brought it up.

its important for his defenders to know just how stupid and wrong they are, not just relative to the league but historically as well.

I assume you know I'm not one of his "defenders".

I disagree with the hyperbolic takes because arguments of that sort weaken the overall point.

Examples:

"Rex Grossman wasn't an elite quarterback." Valid.

"Rex Grossman was the worst quarterback in history and any games the Bears won during that era, they won in spite of him. Yeah, no.

The fact people keep glossing over this is indeed mind-blowing.  41 years on this Earth, 31 playing/following/watching football and I’ve never before Bryce seen or heard of a QB who was subbed out because he couldn’t sneak.  Ever.  That’s a standard football play, and we have a QB who can’t run it.  So if he can’t do that, what else can’t he do?  What other plays do we not run because they know he can’t do it?  I suspect a lot, which is why the offense looks like poo more often than not and he struggles to hit 175 most games.

He also can’t step up into the pocket if he does he can’t throw over the line. If he rolls out he’s limited to 10-15yard passes because of lack of arm strength, he’s maxed out his ability and I can’t fugging watch this poo. Reich was vilified for pointing this poo out, now we will spend a few more years trying to fix this poo. Thanks Tepper, you fugging ass.
