Godert was my draft crush year 1 of the new TE search.  He's in his 8th year, is he not?  Olsen was coming off back-to-back foot surgeries.   I knew he was cooked, which was unfortunate and sad.  We've been looking ever since.  We had the man, the myth, the legend Ian Thomas....pffft, okay, dude was horrible and this team could not shake him like a bad case of VD.  I never understood how he kept a roster spot year after year after year, yet was our #1 TE most of that time.

Godert is 31 but has no major injuries and honestly is underutilized in Philly, because Hurts will just completely ignore him for 5 weeks at a time....  hes still got it though 11 tds this year.  PITTS actually produced this year with a 1k season and career high 4 tds

Neither will be cheap. I've never been a Pitts fan and we have a horrible track record with Falcons FAs.  He's the perfect example why RAS is a bullsh1t metric. If RAS actually projected future production, Pitts should be the top TE in the League, but he's not...not even close.

TEs aren't really budget breakers Godert made 10m last year, could deff afford him and would likely be a 3 year contract, i feel the same mostly about Pitts but with sunday ticket this year and how the season ended I watched a lot more Falcons games than I normally would.... he definitely progressed a lot (was super raw coming in like you said ras underwear warrior)  Goddert is on the top of my wish list.

Lol you always bring up my username. It's not that deep my guy. I made it years ago sort of as a joke and it can't be changed. But unless you've played D1 football or the NFL, I would bet my life savings I've played at a higher level than you. Yes, I coach HS flag for fun because I love the game of football and there was a need at the school I work at, but I've been a grad assistant and HS varsity coach as well. You'd be surprised how competitive and strategic 7v7 flag is though at the 5A varsity level. I def don't coach 8 year olds.

I said their plays were blunders, not the players themselves.. Learn how to read. I think Etienne can be a solid potential #2 back, but I blame Canales for putting Etienne back there to return punts though. He's struggled all season fielding punts. He's not a natural catcher. Plus, if Dan Morgan didn't have so many misses in previous drafts, there's a high chance we're not having to rely on a player like Jimmy Horn to make a crucial catch in a playoff game.

Just checked. I started an XL thread about his drop %, but the interaction you are referring to is not a thread I started. I just remember being critical of XL, and you defended him like he was your first born son. Funny stuff. Turns out I was correct. Btw I would never say to cut a 1st round WR after one season. As a matter of fact I was a 3* recruit to ECU (never played in game due to horrid compound ankle fracture as a freshman that i never fully recovered from)  prior to that I was a two time all state S in HS and had offers to play at Duke, Marshall and Miami (OH)

 

Oh and the dumbass who just got fired as Tampas offensive coordinator was a unfortunately the QB my senior year of HS NOTE he still can't read a defense any better than he could then
