I get McVay and Rams’ fans point of view but also look at the Packers with Love, that was definitely a great move in hindsight to keep them competitive past their aging MVP QB. Also Stafford’s career was literally in question just this past offseason due to injuries. IDK anything about Simpson and seems like it was a reach but I also understand going for the QB you want and being fine with him sitting behind a guy like Stafford for a few years. You have a feeling he’ll wind up being a solid QB for them long term, but it certainly could blow up in their faces. Not terribly risky though since the pick was basically house money from the falcons

Why was Love a great move? The two WRs taken right after Love were Tee Higgins and Michael Pittman. You don’t think Rodgers could have used them?

Love is 27-20-1 as the starter and is 1-3 in the playoffs. Rodgers last 4 years was 47-18 and 2-3 in the playoffs but they also had byes as they won their division 3 times. Love has finished 2nd in the division once.

Sorry, but I think Rodgers having Adams and Higgins together from 2020+ would have had more success than the 1 playoff win that Love has had. The Packers were clearly better at the end of Rodgers run than they’ve been lately.
