Cam Newton Workout 3/16

I haven't seen somebody claim that in weeks.

Even if it's there, it's clearly less evident than your anti-smokescreen posts.

Read anything Mr Scot posts. And frankly I don't really care what direction my over used jokes push you torward.

Hopefully Hurney isn't cruising through the Huddle and thinks to himself "I was going to draft Cam Newton, but that fuggin Teeray beat the smoke screen joke to death so I am going to get Dareus instead"

The joke is almost as old as the guys claiming everything is indeed a smoke screen.

Not quite correct.

Not everything said this time of year is a smokescreen, but some of it is.

Truthfully, that actually makes it tougher because, like a Poker game, you have to try and figure out who's bluffing and who isn't.

That's why I say not to take anything you hear or read this time of year at 100% face value. Yeah, maybe it's true, but it might not be.

And throw in that this early in the process, those decisions are far from finalized (especially with Hurney).

I've been open minded about the possibility of drafting Newton for some time. But these "jokes" of yours are getting annoying and pushing me the other direction.

They got old about a week ago, man.

So, you're beginning to think we shouldn't take Newton because someone on a message board annoys you?

Perhaps a stupid question, but the draft is late April, and both Newton and Gabbert are still working on their skills...is it allowed for a team to, for example, send a scout to a workout facility after the official team visit?

Lets say the Panthers like what they see on the 16th, but still have questions and want to see Newton's progress mid-April. Can they send a scout to San Diego to work him out?

Allowed? Sure.

Doesn't really happen much though. Once they've had the team visit, they tend to know what they need to.

I never thought we should.

I was open minded about anybody (except Fairley) and was just gonna let the FO make the call on this one and I'd be okay with whatever.

But people going on and on about Cam does indeed make me hope we don't take him just so people will shut up.

I left for Mexico for about 8 days a couple weeks ago, came back hoping to find some cool news on the CBA and stuff, and all I found was these stupid smokescreen jokes running up and down the Huddle. Eek.
