Well today is the deadline for the CBA once again and it seems that today we will know for sure what will happen. Then again I thought that last week and they just extended it.

So what do yo think will happen at the deadline today?

Agreement

Lockout

Union decertifys

another extension

D Smith will get in front of the cameras and say

"i am just here on behalf of the players and fans that dig this game"

"Look at me, look at me, i might run for office someday. Sorry, i have been in front of the camera for only 45 minutes, but i have to go to the K & W with my family"

Was just messing with ya, when I first looked there was no poll, just the list of options - now I see it.

yeah I thought that might of happened, I guess when you make a poll it post your thread and then adds the poll when you are done.

Your probably not far off. I believe Smith plays a huge role in the reason why there hasn't been an agreement yet.

I would also like to post a poll about which side do you support the players or owners.

I would choose owners because the players already make enough money as it is. The owners make money also but they are responsible for creating many jobs for the team, stadium etc. I don't like the 18 game idea because more than likely it will be added on in the winter time with horrible weather. I don't think it will cause as many problems as the players make it out to be, the reason why is because they will shorten preseason games by two and the players are acting like 2 games will shorten careers, but its just two damn games which means more money for them and the owners. I also believe there must be a rookie cap. If they do get a cap it will help save teams a lot of money and cap room. If there isn't any rookie cap then I will be very disappointed.

One thing I would love to see happen is to see the NFL make a minor league for each team like D league in the NBA or MLB or NHL minor leagues. It would bring a lot of money and it would give players a chance to play and possibly make it to the NFL. It would give teams the chance to sign undrafted FA and see what they can do on the field, and I believe it would bring a lot of extra cash. Imagine how many star players could be found or developed through a minor league system. We would see a lot of players that never had a chance get a shot to make it to the NFL. We already have a practice squad, why not make it bigger and actually let them play.

Only reason there hasn't been an agreement is because they can't figure out how to split $9 billion...don't get it twisted....it's got nothing to do with Smith or Goodell....it's got to do with $

I think thats BS, The players are so damn greedy and want soo much cash its actually kind of sad. Do the players think that just the 32 owners get the rest of the cash? I mean they have to pay coaches, Scouts, Stadium workers ect and all the players care about is how they are going to afford there multi million dollar house. I wish they could lock out the players and get replacement players because I would be just as happy to watch them play with there hearts rather then watch a bunch of money hungry babies play.

    • Mike Davis is like yeah, why would these coaches expect me to watch film on our next opponent if I'm playing good.  Yeah, I really don't pay attention to a lot of stuff around me if I'm doing good.   also Mike Davis, how dare they give all the reps to CMC.  from just listening to that interview, I think Mike Davis likely was often in Mike Davis' way and he can't comprehend that aspect.  Even his story of why he hated people.....was weird.  He hated Steve Spurrier because Spurrier was like hey Mike, Marcus Lattimore left...and we need you to step up into that role/void and be more for us.   And Mike Davis was like, can you believe that motha trucka!! Nah Steve.  Just give me the ball and leave me alone (paraphrasing it all obviously but that was the gist).
    • Unless he's 1,000%, just sit him an extra week at this point to let him get his legs back under him. I want to see him out there as much as the next guy, but this was a serious thing and I'd rather wait an extra week than put him out one day too early and risk something going wrong, play the long game for once.
    • God, these posts are really starting to piss me off If we're relying on Moore, Idzik, and Canales to carry that weight, then we're royally screwing over our young WR room.  It's not that those guys can't help with some of it, but these young promising WRs are going to miss out on a lot of learning that can only be provided by the vets on the team.   You do realize that coaches spend ZERO time in the locker room, right?   They are only in there just before games and at halftime, but the rest of the week, they have their own locker room, they only spend time with the players on the field and in the film room.  There is soooooo much time that you're leaving unaccounted for where players are working together to get better. Players are constantly talking about their game and how they can improve while they're in the locker room.  If you think career long special teamer David Moore is going to be able to carry that water in the locker room, then you're sorely and woefully mistaken. Even beyond that, if a coach pulls a player aside to give advice between series, that still means there are 4-5 other WRs who aren't getting individual advice, where that's normally a time a vet like Thielen is going over with them what he's seeing out there and how they can do X, Y, or Z to do A, B, or C better on the next drive.
