Matt Moore...

the notion that at this point Moore still has potential to be a great QB is complete horse poo.

he's been in the league for four years and if he's as good as people like to say he is he would've done it already.

oh and also that five game stretch people love to worship him for, oh lets see, he faced the patriots in an off year (pretty much was par for the course in passer rating given up overall by the pats in 2009), led an offense that scored 16 points against one of the worst teams in the league, had his one career day performance against the Vikings, completed 75% of his passes against the Bill Sheridan defense, although interesting to note Stewart alone accounted for over 200 rushing yards, and played alright against the Saints' second team in a game where even Dwayne Jarrett had a good performance.

btw still waiting for Moore defenders to compare him to anybody else but a rookie with a lot to improve upon. Polish that turd all you want it's still a turd at the end of the day.

I'm not really sure who you want us to compare him to. He's been in a unique situation his whole career being under Fox and Davidson and honestly hasn't had a career that parallels anyone else that comes to mind, do you have a good example?

It's rare that a guy plays well in Camp then gets cut, then gets picked up by a new team, then ends up starting for them against his old team and plays well, then as he is now the backup entering the next season behind the coaches favorite son, he breaks his leg and misses most of the year and doesn't see any action, then begins his third year as a 3rd stringer but is forced into action late in the year and plays amazing (don't hate) but since the CBA uncertainty and his rather quick flashing success, he's given a 1 year deal with a lame duck coach and comes out hte next season looking like a completely different QB but gets pulled too quick and he doesn't get a chance to settle into a rhythm but then comes back in after his backup failed and plays well for a game then has another bad game then gets hurt the next game and misses the rest of the season while the backup flounders the whole year.

I can't think of one QB that even remotely sounds like.

You want to compare him to other 4th year guys? Other 1 year starters? Other Panther QBs? Other RFA? What? Prospective draft picks?

Out of all realistic and non old ass vet mentor QBs, Moore is the best available.

Even if you want to compare early careers, Redman was a 3rd round pick, didn't get cut in camp, was 3-3 as a starter for the team that drafted him, and his best game was 208 yards and 2 TDs.

None of that is even close to Moore, none, zero, negative amounts of closeness

Redman spent his first 4 years with the Ravens, a team that had no established QB and an inept offense (sound familiar?) for all of those years and couldn't take advantage of the opportunity. Showed apparent flashes of greatness from time to time, then got hurt his fourth year, never became more than a journeyman QB

Up until this year didn't we have an established QB?

Showed flashes of greatness with a 3-3 record and his best performance was slightly better than a jimmy game?

They see me trollin..
