Schefter: Players won't negotiate

Mr. Scot

Recommended Posts

Citing a players union source, Adam Schefter says the players see "zero chance" of any negotiations before April 6th, even if the league came to them with a new offer.

T'would seem they really are betting everything on winning in the courts.

So what happens if they lose?

I will always believe this has been DSmiths agenda from the start.

Players need a player friendly rep.

Owners brought this poo storm on themselves too.

They put the golden goose on the chopping block and DSmith has NO trouble taking it's head clean off.

What happens if they lose, is the NFL Owners get to cram a compensation package down the throats of the players paying as much or as little as they want, and telling them to take a fuging hike if they don't like it. Like any employer can do.

But...but...but... the players didn't walk away from negotiating table right?? They acted in good faith right?? All they wanted was some financial docs right??

LOL. I love the guys who continue to defend these guys when they show time and time again that they are not participating in good faith.

He's a lawyer. Lawyers tend to believe you solve things by going to court.

When I heard the NFL had offered a 'meet you halfway' deal on revenue sharing, I really thought the deal would get done.

When the players walked away without so much as a counter offer, my heart sunk :(

Get the impression that Smith is thinking "See, we got them this far, it's only time before they inch closer to what we want!"?

That's my thing with this...the union seemed to never even counter or compromise on anything. I agree with Pash...I didn't think the union was as committed to getting a deal done as everyone else.

GOOD!

I hope the players stick it to the Owners who were itching for a lockout anyway!

I've had enough of Jerry Richardson stealing from us season ticket buyers.

Tell Jerry to suit up, cause I ain't buyin any tickets for scrubs and arena league players like he put on the field last year.

    • Carolina Way is gone, it went out the window with the Belichick hiring. They'll hire the best coach they can, ignoring everything else if possible.    Athletic reports that the school's top two targets are Tommy Lloyd and Billy Donovan. They don't care the buyout for a coach either, they and the boosters are willing to spend and will be going outside of the coaching family tree 100%.
    • I don't think it's a homer though when I really feel this team can beat anyone.  The points that can be scored in bunches when the big three are on has high potential.  Moose has effort for days and IMO is the heart of the team.  And didn't see Miles becoming the team "vet" in the starting lineup just roleplaying lol.   We have to limit the turnovers though (Brandon Miller I'm looking at you bud, you are a bad ball handler) and some little things.   Colby off the bench is a cheat code and him and Kaulk have a nice little game going with the picks.    Sion playing every game and just getting better each game.  He has grit.  Grant and Green also grit.  We need replace Tillman with PJ Hall though.  Tillman looks like someone that shouldn't be on an NBA court, or at least with this team, he's just too slow for this tempo.   Even McNeely looked decent tonight and can drive.   If Kaulk and Moose could even be like 30% 3pt shooters man....
