Blaine Gabbert's arm strength just ordinary?

http://rotoworld.com/player/nfl/6451/blaine-gabbert

Darin Gantt of the Charlotte Observer has heard that Missouri QB Blaine Gabbert's arm strength is "ordinary," and there is concern in the league that he was just "not all that productive" in college.

Gabbert's 16:9 touchdown-to-interception ratio is one of the least impressive among this year's signal callers, and his yards-per-attempt average of 6.71 as a junior also ranks dead last in the class. "Bottom line on Blaine Gabbert," wrote Gantt on Twitter late Wednesday, "(I) haven't had one scout, coach, or personnel type I know tell me, 'Love him. Will be a star.'" Mar 17, 9:49 AM

I don't either. Really just don't get it. I could at least understand if he had played in a pro offense or something, but for a guy who has the same transition as Newton to make, I just don't see why he's rated higher by so many.

Cam put up FAR superior stats, won more, won a championship, and has a FAR superior physical skillset.

I don't understand how he gets so much hype to be honest.

Me neither. From what I heard he was totally inconsistent running a spread offense and he didnt improve that much in the past few years. King Taqahara or whatever might have a point on this one, if he was black he would be a 2nd rounder. haha

    • i presented this in another thread. he throws better to the out breaking routes the wr run, but almost nothing to the inside. that is half the options on a wr route tree. How do you run an offense like that?  even the outbreaking routes he throws are moonballs, that allow the DBs to catch up unless the wr is wide open. he has to throw with a lot of anticipation becuase he doesnt have the arm strenght to get it there if he is a little late. thats probably why you see balls behind the wrs.
