The fact that you think that Cam is even in the same league as Luck reconfirms what all of us already knew......you are fuging crazy.

Good day.

That fact you love swallowing media jizz tells me what I already knew about you sheeple anyway. Somebody that Kiper and Mcshay got the world to believe is the best thing since Manning. I bet you believe he's the perfect QB with no flaws and 0% bust factor, lol

Good day.

No one in the last 70 years has been in the same league as Luck. He is the gold standard of NFL QBs already before his first snap.

Let's just all pray that we go 2-14 again next year so we can be blessed with Luck's presence. Don't you even mention someone else's name in the same sentence as Luck unless it is Manning, Elway, or Montana.

BTW to all the people who said drafting Cam was a joke before Luck returned, the QB coach of the Tampa Bay Bucs said long before Luck returned to school that the Panthers needed to draft Andrew Luck or Cam Newton with the number 1 overall pick. So maybe it was a joke to you guys but to at least some QB gurus it was actually talked about long before Luck said he was going back to school.

Actually I'm in contract negotiations with your mom and your grandma. They're the ones with the infatuation. The way you keep stalking me I'm starting to wonder about you:rolleye::lol:

people keep bringing up these mid first rounders and going, "See, we should take Cam!" that's fine... if we were mid first round I might even agree.

so because we have the number one you're totally against drafting Cam, but if we had a mid first you might take him. It's you do or don't. 1st rounder is a 1st rounder. It sounds like you might have a problem paying him #1 money because there's no other difference once you pick in that round you have to wait until the next. If you're gonna pick a QB you do it when your number's called and if you're #1 guess what-pick the QB

I dont get the mindset either ncmonzta of "I would take Cam later in the 1st round but not at #1". Either you think the player can be a franchise QB or you dont. You dont draft any player in Rd #1 you dont think will be or become an impact player whether you are in the top spot or #15, etc.

I would say the same thing for any of the QB's in the draft. This "Well, I beleive Cam or Gabbert will be a great QB and addition to our team, BUT since we are at #1 lets just pass"

The only reason the Panthes wont draft a QB at #1 is because Hurney, Rivera, etc dont think any of them will develope into a franchise guy. Thats it and not because they cant pick them later in the round.

Who said he was a joke other than the haters? To me Luck was the joke shining bright in a weak conference playing against junior varsity all year. I still don't see anything amazing just another pocket QB waiting for a concussion.

p.s. the kid rather draw buildings than play football

This is funny.

Google Manning, Rivers, Brady, and Brees and see how many concussions they have.

And while you are at it, check out the win column.

This league is dominated by pocket passing QB's.

Right because Luck is obviously just a pocket passer, ever see him lay out shareece wright? or run 85 yards down field and truck stick the defender? Luck has the accuracy and intelligence that newton cant even dream of.

I saw two great defenses in the Superbowl with 1 pocket QB and another scrambling QB, and the pocket QB won the Superbowl.

Aaron Rodgers is a pocket passer first and foremost.

And if you look at the top QBs in the league (Manning, Rivers, Brees, Brady, Rodgers, Ryan etc) they are pocket QBs.

These mobile QBs you speak of are mid tier at best

yea but he's also a mobile QB

mobile meaning he can move out of the pocket and make plays. Something today's Qb has to be with DE's running sub5 forties. Big Ben is mid tier.lmao

    • Roger all that. Do you think BY avoided any sacks last game? This oline is not what you're touting them to be. They are much better then 2023! Much much much better than 2023. But come on now, you'd expect this expensive oline (most are run blocking specialist) to at least dominate in the run game every game.  And... I keep telling you our WRs and TEs are not that good yet. I mean last Sunday was a prime example. Our receiving targets never make plays like those. Never. And this is from one of the worst teams in the league. Shough could have easily had 3 INTs if not for his receivers making plays on the ball. Our guys just don't do that. XL almost allowed an INT backing up out of bounds instead of coming to the ball. And everyone would have blamed that on BY. That's why he doesn't throw to that dude. I can't recall a game except maybe the second Falcons game - maybe, where I thought our receivers could possibly be better than the other team's. I think TMac and Coker have a lot of potential. But they're aren't consistent. But they're young and WILL improve. I'm confident of that.  I don't agree that BY was drafted to only stand in the pocket. He has always been best off schedule - for better or worse.
    • Do you think you will get a direct answer?  Icky giving up 5 pressures (playing hurt in his defense) by himself and Bryce only getting sacked once tells you he played well in the pocket.  He extended plays and converted some tough downs.
    • I've been very apprehensive about potentially firing yet another head coach. But Canales needs to focus on being a head coach first and foremost and begin handing off some responsibilities like playcalling duties and begin overseeing the entire team or we need to assess all possible ideal HC candidates in the offseason.
