What if.....

Ok, I have been contemplating posting this all day and I would like to get teh Huddlez opinion.

Imagine if you will that a friend of over 25 years has just been exposed as a fake. Nothing like he killed a bunch of folks but has been exposed as a big time liar.

Without going into details I will use this as an example.

Imagine you had a friend when you were younger who left HS early and disappeared for a year. When you see him again he said he went to mechanic school and loved it. It is the best thing in the world and everybody should attend.

Imagine that the greater percent of your family were mechanics and you were planning on going to mechanic school anyway so no big deal. But a couple of your other friends wern't sure what to do so they took his advice and went to mechanic school.

Imagine that they didn't know what to expect and one got hurt really bad and the other sorta let his mind take a vacation for awhile. You being the good friend helped them as much as possible but felt pretty bad seeing them like this.

Imagine that the original friend wrote a book about his exploits in places with folks you later worked with in a garage as a mechanic but they nevr knew him. Imagine he wrote a book and is making money off of it.

Now, imagine that the same original friend has gotten exposed as a fake. Not that he was never a mechanic but was more of like the shop floor sweeper and mopper.

How would you feel?

Would you dwell on the damage done to your other friends who became mechanics because of the first one?

Would you still be his friend?

I know it's a lot of imagining but I would readily welcome anybody's take on this. It is really fuging with my mind. A swirl of emotions.

Thank you for your time.....

Eh, I mean if they want to take advice from a guy, they have to understand that the guy COULD be lying (unless they've seen him in action). Plus, yeah they're your friends, but there's no reason to dwell over what happened with them (as cold hearted as that sounds). You can feel bad for what happened with them and show sympathy, but don't let that get to you.

I'd just confront the guy straight up. Because it is messed up he is profiting off of a lie.

Oh yeah speaking of drain. he also cried out to other mechanics to help him with bills, finance his book and help him to help other mechanics. The mechanics are a very tight organization and will do anything for a fellow mechanic. Even help floor sweepers if they felt the need to.

Got a bunch of money but opnly helped himself.

No no drugs.

I guess when I look back, he was a good friend but later in life adopted a "what can you do for me, I was a mechanics so all other shop fools need to recognize it and deliver" attitude.

Me, I was a different type of mechanic who got grease under the finger nails and did the oil changes and tire rotations.

I did confront him and was trying to rely on our friendship to pull out the truth but it was no good. I even defended him to the other mechanics but the truth was exposed and hey have forgiven me and actually appreciated my loyalty to other mechanics.

that's more imagines than a John Lennon concert

but to it, trust is a big part of friendship...but if this friend was there when you needed and you had good times and as far as you know, didn't screw you over, then what the hell

    • As far as elite/elevate talent QB’s It’s Allen Mahomes Jackson and Burrow that’s it.  Then we have tiers and those can be debated all day Dak is a good QB but I know this board would want him out of Charlotte if he was the QB here. 2 playoff wins in 10 years. Justin Herbert no playoff wins. Threw 4 interceptions in last years playoff game. 23 TD passes last year. 20 the year below and 25 the year before that. This board loves stats without context and these stats aren’t saying they’re much above complimentary  Kyler Murray isn’t good. I’m not sure how he made this list.  Caleb Williams, Trevor Lawrence both benefiting from some real good offensive coaches right now. They’re both complimentary pieces until proven otherwise  I like Jordan Love. Always have. I wanted to draft him but he isn’t a superstar.  CJ Stroud hasn’t been much better than Bryce after his rookie season. After that Bears game year 2 his numbers very similar to Bryce I will say I think Drake Maye is well on his way to becoming the next top tier QB if I had to pick one from this entire list. I’d also say Baker Mayfield is a damn good QB and I’d take him over most of those guys not in the elite category  Now if you want to debate tools and which QB’s possess tools to put them in higher tiers that’s a completely different discussion. Most QB’s on your main list all have those physical tools that will keep you thinking he’ll become the next top tier QB. They’ll sprinkle in a “wow” play or two a game. Bryce will never look that way. Young’s game at its peak will physically always look different and I think that’s where most people struggle when it comes to seeing how Young’s can be successful in the league  All QB’s need a team around them. I think the Bills are failing Josh Allen much like the Panthers did Cam. Beane and McDermott using same blueprint with Bills team. Josh Allen hasn’t had much in terms of WR’s and it’s ultimately costing them when it matters the most
