Let see.

- #1 draft pick

- New coach

- Worst QB play in franchise history

- Board favorite QB draftee didn't declare.

- #1 need stated by the Front Office has a top candidate with a history of media controversy.

Did you stop to think maybe the factors are unique, and are unlike anything this fanbase has dealt with, and has created the overactive interest in the situation?

Or maybe its just easier to say everyone is stupid and not talk about the hottest issue for our team... like, you know... what's going to happen with that #1 pick?

My problem isn't that "everyone is stupid." Nor is it that Cam Newton is the big topic. It's how people take Cam Newton threads. There are posters who basically go at other posters, bitching back and forth and making it into some kind of war because they disagree. There doesn't need to be one right answer here. Not that all opinions here are reasonable, but reasonable people can disagree about something like how to use a #1 draft pick.

PS ALL CAM NEWTON LOVERS ARE UNREASONABLE ESPECIALLY TEERAYLOLOL

The stupidity, immaturity, and reasoning (or lack thereof) on this board goes way beyond most other message boards. It's reached an all time low these past couple weeks.

You obviously dont get out much on the web...This is nothing.

Seriously folks grow a set this is an Internet Message Board. I.M.B

Have fun if not go away.

Really? You don't see ONE argument against not taking him?

That is absolutely crazy. Not one single reason?

LOL. We are about to take the one thread saying we should stop talking about Newton and making it into a Newton thread. Don't take the bait TRD. :)

The sad thing is he's not. Plenty of people see the pros and cons and make their decision for and against.

You are for

I am against

Nothing wrong with that. You've stated your reasons and I've stated mine but failing to acknowledge that there are even arguments to the contrary of your own personal opinion borders on insanity.

Bingo.

There are some long time posters here, that have suddenly started directing some genuine hate and aggression at each other over a 21 year old guy, who may or may not be our first ever #1 pick.

It's no surprise that the board is dominated by a load of guys who I have not seen before, whereas the regulars have done the sensible thing and stayed well away.

Yeah, don't blame me, I've stopped posting in this forum as well. But that is essentially Moderator driven, which is a big reason the Panther forum is in its current state.

I can think of one reasonable point... MAYBE... and this is a BIG MAYBE if he can't improve his footwork in drop backs from under center...

But he's already shown improvement and a willingness to learn in workouts. So the point has sort of been addressed already. It' just a matter of trying him out in a live game now.

    • I mean, you probably should've waited after the season is over before "going there," that way we we'd have four more games of comparison and discussion. Don't get me wrong, I occasionally go out on a limb, but Bryce just had his best game and has given people hope (which could realistically be false hope), and Shedeur just doesn't have that many games under his belt (even if he does look promising), one of them being against the Titans. No harm in being patient and letting things play out.  If you noticed, Tepper seems to be taking a wait-and-see attitude, and he didn't mention Bryce in the clip in the other thread. I'm still highly skeptical of Bryce (and glad that Sanders has shown an ounce of success), but the reality is that we have to let things play out. The Sanders train left long ago (if it was even here). But,there are more realistic options if Bryce turns back into a frog.
    • imagine thinking that talking about our next opponent is "gassing up" someone.... and then lying about basic info because it's not flattering to the league's worst starting QB since he arrived.  as a starter he is 2-3 (just a fact) as a starter vs Bryce this year pass yards per game - Shough rush yards per game - Shough comp % - Shough  QB rating - Shough yards/per attempt - Shough and Shough is only good for a 2nd year rookie thrust into the gig on a bad team.   He is getting graded on a curve of what he is.  And he won the last head to head vs us, and looked like the best QB on the field that day.   there are a billion red flags when it comes to Bryce Young.  This is just another.
    • Imagine gassing up a 2-4 QB for a terrible division rival with stats worse than our QB in every category except raw yards per game
