Bengals may be interested in Kolb

Add Bengals to list of teams interested in Kevin Kolb. Connect dots: Bengals WR coach is James Urban, who was Eagles QB coach last year.

If "dot connecting" is all he's doing (and it sounds like it is) then I don't know that I'd take this notion too seriously.

If t'were true though, a deal for Kolb might make them more willing to part with Carson Palmer.

I am still confused as to why people want Palmer or for that matter his insane contract. Also what back up do they have besides Palmers little brother and Lefevours? It makes sense to me.

Palmer's trade demand points out that he had 80 million in the bank and doesn't need the money anymore. He just wants to play for a better organization than the Bengals.

They have nothing else right now, but if they got a guy like Kolb or one of the rookies, they might be willing to part with Palmer.

I've been calling Palmer overrated for years, and still think so, but objectively speaking, there's no better, more proven option available this season.

They would be stupid enough for this kinda bullpoo.

Admittedly also one of my first thoughts.

Their new OC is a fella named "Gruden", so getting a guy with some WCO experience would make sense.

(Schefter's "dots" are that the Bengals new WR coach is Kolb's old QB coach)

I would force myself to get high, because that's the only way I could cope with the pain.

Yea because we can afford to be picky since Moore and Clausen seem to know what they're doing and getting the best available QB while drafting one with huge potential wouldn't help us out that much.

    • The good thing about replacing a bad player is you really have nothing to lose. If their replacement is bad so what, you didn't get much worse and probably saved money.
    • I came over from the old Panthers Insider site. When Fox Sports bought that platform it slowly just started dying plus the guy who ran that site was dealing with some pretty significant health issues so the whole thing just slowly fell apart. Quite a few of us migrated over here. Not sure how many are still around.  I miss that place. It struck a nice balance of having enough active posters to keep productive conversation flowing but didn't have so much traffic that you end up with a lot of trolling BS. This place is getting there though since we shutdown new registrations but at some point we're going to have to open it back up or we'll watch this place slowly die off too as posters fall off for one reason or another. We just have to figure out a way to filter out the spam bots. It was a never ending battle to ban the spam bots to keep then from overrunning the site. You'd think they'd be a little more strategic. I mean, if you fill a site with nothing but spam people are just going to stop coming so it's not a sustainable model. But nope, every one of them makes dozens of duplicate threads filling up pages upon pages as soon as their account goes live.
    • lol...I don't remember that.  Although recalling what I had for breakfast yesterday is sometimes a challenge.  Hope it was a positive thing.
