Ryan Lownes Newton breakdown

I! know, I know we don't need anymore Newton threads. But I thought I would post this because I think it lends itself to the idea of how Cam Newton could be a unique QB. A lot of people have questioned the idea that Newton is a different type of player and rightfully so. Lowne's breakdown probably articulates it better than my feeble attempts. Me and him have a similar opinion on Newton therefore I think he is the best draftnik ever :p.

Basically, if I were to write an in depth analysis on Cam it would probably be very similar.

Now I will patiently wait for Scot to chime in with a "but Narwookie is teh greastest draftnik eva!!!1!1!"

Just a friendly jab Scot. I am not saying this guy is the best (or even good) just that I happen to agree with him.

Kurt Warner doesn't think Cam is worth the top pick.

I don't think any QB in this draft is worth top 10 consideration. The media is only hyping these players. Teams will reach in order to fill a need, and we all know how that works. I just hope that out of the teams that will reach, the Panthers aren't one of them.

Chargers reached on Rivers. Turned out fine.

    • Saw a replay of that Kucci save in the first period. That was a crazy good save and unbelievable awareness to realize that the bruins skater was coming open from the back boards
    • Across the league, many of the most productive wide receivers are doing their best work out of the slot. Rams WR Puka Nacua and Seattle’s Jaxon Smith-Njigba are perfect examples, with both putting up strong numbers this season thanks to their impact coming from the slot. Teams are clearly figuring out that placing their top playmakers inside creates major advantages against today’s defenses. I’m glad Canales has picked up on that as well and put T-Mac in position to have his best game yet. Especially against the Falcons, who arguably had one of the better pass defenses in the NFL prior to yesterday Hope to see that continue. Dave's still relatively young in the coaching world and is clearly still trying to find a good formula. Yesterday's gameplan with the YAC and impact all across the board was an encouraging sign for the future.
    • I was really happy to see XL have success and make an impact. I’ve been one of his biggest haters, but at the same time there’s very few players I want to see succeed more than XL. He’s a good dude who’s been through a lot. I hope he can keep building off this game.
