I smashed my hand...

EDIT: It's broken

I smashed my hand under a bookshelf looking back on it I don't know how I was stupid enough for that to happen somehow. Just one of those moments.

But anyways it was painful but I don't think anything is wrong. My hand is bruised from the pinky side to my middle finger turning all sorts of fun bruise colors and certain movements REALLY hurt.

But I'm guessing if I had a stress fracture/torn ligament or something serious I would know it. But doing certain actions like lifting groceries using my ring or pinky fingers feels like they are being pulled off.

I don't want to be a whiner but I also don't want to walk around possibly damaging my hand. I can get it x-rayed with the same co-pay at the doctor if I want. Sometimes it feels like a bad bruise sometimes it's the worst pain I've felt in probably 2 years or so. The swelling is going down some.

My grandpa would always get ridiculous injuries and not flinch so everytime I hurt myself I feel like a pussy lol.

Doctor or don't worry about it?

    • No one way to do it, it does appear that with the bigger draft picks of the last 5 years…..majority haven’t steered clear of young QBs on the roster being their hopeful guy. Especially past their rookie seasons but even some the biggest ones have had it early.   As far as Andy Dalton, the two young guys he has “mentored”…..have had very rough NFL starts.  Which really ask the why the heck is Dalton here.   He doesn’t really check any box.  No young potential.  Can’t step in and win.  And his mentor track record with Fields and now Bryce is bad
    • I had thought the Panthers might let him play out his contract this year and hope he stays healthy. If not draft a left tackle and move Ekwonu to right tackle.
    • Frankly, if most teams in the NFL lose their starting QB for a significant amount of time, they're screwed. The fantasy is that one has a future Tony Romo or a Nick Foles that can carry a stacked team. The reality is that you might get roughly 3~5 games out of your backup before it all falls apart. Remember all of Peyton Manning's backups? Utterly terrible. Speaking of backup QB's, Raiders may need one. https://www.nfl.com/news/raiders-qb-aidan-o-connell-suffered-fractured-wrist-in-preseason-finale-expected-to-be-out-6-8-weeks
