Aj Green Has a big chance to be the pick?

AJ green has a huge chance to be the pick April 28. The reason why is because the Panthers could take the lions approach witch really want be that bad. We take a really good Reciever this year who can put up some pretty good numbers and he will have Smitty on the other side of him, add a couple more offensive weapons maybe another TE and OL. We can see how productive Jimmy Clausen can be with him and Smitty in our new attack offense stretching the field. If it dont workout with clausen maybe we can squezze our way in the top 10 next year and hope we can get a new Quarterback. And If AJ green was to work out he will be a great deep threat down the field and give opposing Corners hell the next 10 to 12 years.

Gettis could stretch the field last year.......he often got open for potentital homeruns. Clausen is scared to make throws. WRs weren't the issue last season. QB was....specifcally Clausen.

Stick with Clasuen and not use the #1 pick on a QB....and you could find yourself with no shot at top tier talent next season. Continue to suck. No guarantees. Luck could have a career ending injury and another teams fight over the other top QB. You don't plan on hoping you land a good QB in the 2012 draft.....

Next yrs draft has 3 QB's that will be better than any QB in this draft as a prospect.

They could either get Green and a TE now for future QB(or VET) or draft PP or Darius and try to build a Ravens type defense instead...

or draft Cam Newton, hope he works out because if not Offense will be terrible and defense not much better

Not necessarily true. It isn't whether they are better now since they are still in college. The question is whether they will be better next year with no experience in an NFL offense versus guys like Newton or Gabbert with a year of NFL experience under their belt. I would argue that both Gabbert and Newton will be further along than any guy coming out of college who still have to transition to the NFL game. If athleticism was an issue then I might say pick the guys down the road but we all know that both Newtoon and Gabbert will get better not worse.

And we don't know if we will be able to draft any of them at this point.

I cant make this clear enough so maybe i should break it down into a different format.

In 2007 a Down year in Quarterbacks the only two that came out and that is pretty much are now Busts are Russell and Brady Quinn. They have done absoultely nothing in the NFL with Russell not even in the league anymore. They could of took Quinn but they didnt they just took the best Pro Ready prospect in Calvin Johnson, witch wont a bad pick. What I am saying is the panthers might give Clausen another chance to see how has he improved can he be a productive starter or a Potential franchise Quarterback. Give him a big time deep threat WR like Green for our new offense will help. We dont know how long Smitty will be here this could be his last year. Then in a sense we have already replace smith. If Clausen dont do well we will probably be picking in the top 10 next year in a better Quarterback draft class. Im not depending on getting one but we might have a chance. We are a rebuilding team its not like we will make the playoffs and win the superbowl this year. Its best to rebuild the right way. I dont have no problems with Cam newton been taking one. But I believe his biggest competition will be AJ Green. I think we trade down to number 3 or 4 pick up a second round pick we take AJ and if Cam is on the board we may take him. But if we stay number 1 Cam Newton will be the number 1 pick.

Thats a good Answer. And you are right. But it comes down to what Rivera and Hurney wants to do. And Cam has the biggest chance to be the pick.

Another reason Aj Green could be the pick is because our OC loves big WRs. Currently we have only one, Gettis. Look what he had with Browns and Charges... We will either sign a big WR or it will be AJ Green. LaFell, AE, Smith are not his types of WRs.

I have no problem with Green or Peterson as great talents. I just don't think we are rebuiding at this point. I think we are a few players away from contending. Maybe not for the playoffs but surely for respectability. We need a few key players. With the article recently that we might not be looking to pick a vet QB in FA, we are left with who we have now and perhaps a draft choice. I agree we need competition at QB and if we don't pick up a FA then we left with the draft.

Yep. Good logic there. Gettis and Lefell somewhat fit but AE and Smitty do not. Green, Peterson, or Dareus are my faves. Also if we can trade down and gain a 2nd i would be happy. I am not on board the Cam Train.

I would love to have Green here but I can't see us drafting another WR, especially #1 overall.

If our team hadn't last year given up two 2nd rounders for a QB-WR convert on top of drafting two other recievers i might see otherwise.
