and enjoy some good panther memories...

(yes i know how the game turned out, but that is not the purpose of this vid)

Now here i just want to add, that we have all of these players on the field, except Jake Delhomme (not sayin much), hoover (miss him) and moose (got old and retired a carolina panther). So really, keep in mind...we found a solid fb to replace hoover, and we found 2 great young moose like versions of moose. all we need now is a qb. not to mention our upgrade at TE with shockey, our offense can easily become a top notch offense, just with a qb.

anyways...moving on. for all those that love smitty but say hes no good or wanna see him move on:

now i know this is a young steve smith. but he still has that same fire in him, once we can just get him the ball..i have faith in rivera to involve smitty and our passing game a lot more.

and to finish it off....to those who say we dont have a solid #2 receiver...

we have two solid #2 receivers. we just cant throw one ball to them and smitty every play.

anyways, any requests? pm or post them here. :) enjoy

This is a nice diversion from regular Cam Hate/Cam Hug threads. What areas on our team actually look good, and then how do we compliment them to improve?

After last year's draft, I was pretty sour on picking two WRs. I mean, why go after 2 guys when you won't be able to count on them for 3 years? Well, after the season, LaFell and Gettis were bright spots for me. Are they there? Not yet, but they are well on their way. They could be an interesting duo to watch next year that's for sure.

Fiamettia (or however it's spelled) was another play who made some good strides from TC to the end of the season. He had some dogs of games earlier, but the last 3-4 games he seemed to be getting his stuff together. Hopefully next year he can improve on his lead blocking and route running to become a more versatile player.

The Schwartz is with you! Geoff Schwartz I thought was going to be a good right side back up. Turns out, he's actually a decent pass blocking RT! I wish he could be a stronger run blocker, and hopefully he will improve in that area this season. A 330lb man should be manhandling the right side! Maybe if Otah ever gets better and can play a full season, The Schwartz can be that right guard we need.

A lot has been said about our DE position. We're in good shape for the moment, though if a really good player falls, I might not be upset if he becomes a Panther. I hope against hope that we're able to get CJ extended and keep him here as he continues to evolve. Now imagine how good our guys would be if we found someone who can pressure from the inside?

There's more I could say, but I'm getting sleepy and a nap sounds great. Though I will toss this out there (take it for whatever you want), but maybe Jimmy or Tony could possibly end up becoming good? Remember Jimmy had a craptastic freshman year and then pulled it together the next two years. And the website that has the 70% accuracy (their claim) about who'se going to be good, said that Pike could be that franchise guy if he got >25 on the Wonderlic. Gantt tweeted Pike got a 31 a while ago... So who knows! Could be interesting, could be moot!

God the first video is depressing. A lot of people, especially outside the Panthers' fanbase, tend to characterize that game as some kind of out of the box ass-kicking where Arizona beat us down from the word go. No, it was way worse than that. Our first drives on offense and defense were just great, and then it all went to hell. The exact same freaking thing happened again months later against the Eagles.

I always wondered what went on in the locker room at half time under fox. Because it was painfully obvious that he wasn't making adjustments.

You think they were playing tether ball or something......watching porn maybe?

That game sums up pretty much the Greatness of the Jeff Davidson/John Fox offensive play calling. Shows how much our Cord.'s couldn't make their own game plans/ call their own plays, and how much John ran both parts of the team.

    • It appears that he sees things differently than the QB and OC, so Cam's advice is spot on. It isn't about number of targets, it's about quality of targets. Trust and being on the same page. BY doesn't know how to anticipate what XL is doing. And XL doesn't like where BY is placing passes. One on one film study would go a long way. More for BY than XL though. He has to adjust to XL. I really don't think XL can adjust on the fly.
    • If the team shows improvement, then he shouldn't be in danger of losing his job - even if the record doesn't reflect. This was a very young team (with a lot of new vet starters) that overperformed last season. Somebody's doing something right. Consistency is key with so much youth. And we're potentially looking at new starters at ILB and FS. Those are positions that take time to fully understand the defense. ILB calls the front 7. Safety calls the back 4. Injuries at WR and IOL killed the offense last season. Depth needs to be upgraded. Same with Edge. I think they would have won more games if Pat Jones doesn't go down early. Be smart with the roster and draft. Trade players for assets when it's time to pay them more than they're worth - yes, that includes BY if he doesn't make a pretty big jump. That's one of the many reasons Tillis is as important as anyone to the future of this team.
    • He had heart surgery a while back he looks Fraile I hope he is okay
