I've listen to them. You'll want to kill yourself 5 minutes in. You're better off just reading

I strongly disagree. Roy Dotrice did a wonderful job with the audiobooks. I had a fantastic experience listening to them while I built in minecraft.

Trivia: He was originally intended to play Grand Maester Pycell but couldn't for health reasons, so he played the alchemist that Tyrion and Bronn visited in season 2.

I can't stand the monotone of it all. To each is own but I just got more emersed when I was reading it

He plays a character on the complete opposite side of the psychologically disturbing spectrum on the UK show Misfits.

Very introverted, quiet, and has the superpower of turning invisible. Got on probation (community service based probation place is the main setting of the show) for attempting to burn down a neighbor's house, later killed the girl he was in love with "on accident" and kept her in an ice box and visited her frequently.

He's a solid actor for sure, but I wonder if he could pull of someone that isn't so disturbed/disturbing.

I'm really digging this show.   Only 2 eps in but it is good ass poo.

as far as pulling off someone that isn't disturbed...what he does with both characters takes real talent.  they're not easy roles to fill, most people would try way too hard.

Oh yeah, the first two seasons are really good. Nathan leaves after season 2 though, and he was the real comedic backbone of the show. Not saying it got bad after season 2, but it definitely isn't the same without him.

As for the acting, that's totally true. I just wonder what he'd be like as a normal person. You kinda catch a glimpse of it later on in the series, but he's still pretty strange.

So I read a few pages back and will post a comment and move on...

I was about 1 chapter behind in it SoS when the "Red Wedding" episode came out, so of course everyone was talking about it... lol

I've now finished SoS and am about 100 pages into AFfC. I've watched all of Season 1 of GoT and am 4 eps into Season 2. It is all Kurbez had told me it was and more.

At least now I can't be spoiled by what's going on with the show. :)

I can say without a doubt that season 4 is going to blow your collective minds if you haven't read the books. Lots of really cool poo at the end of SoS.

Had some free time today and picked the first book back up. Not sure if its because we are far removed from the first season or if my attention span for reading had grown, but I've read close to 200 pages today. I'll be looking for the rest if them soon.

hahaha you caught the bug...

FWIW I read all 5 within a span of like 2 months... I couldn't put them down...

i did all 5 in about 7 months and that's the most I've ever in that span of time, the Lotr took me 6 months for crying out loud and I loved those books

Same here, man...

It is embarrassing to admit it, but I hadn't read many books at all since my high school years (like 15+ years ago) and I dropped those 4500 pages like fast as poo. It has also inspired me to get back into reading, and now I've always had a book I've been reading since ASOIAF...
